Before finding my perfect hair gel, I tried out this Garnier Fructis style hard gel. It doesn't work well with my hair at all, but I shall suggest later on what hair to use it with. However, it looks cool, works well and gives a strong hold on the right type of hair and right length too! It also smells very fruity and fresh but not too strong, giving it a lovely aroma. It comes in a small 150ml tub. A green plastic label round it gives it a lovely look, as the pot is translucent. It has the Garnier design with the logo and type of gel it is. The size of the tub is pretty small and compact. The lid is a darker green with a picture on a round white ... Read the complete review

A call into Boots saw me buy on impulse Fructis Style Glue, an extreme hair styling gel from Garnier. The price? £3.99 for a 150 ml tube. This to me seemed a little expensive but it was on a two for the price of one so all in all it was still cheaper than any of the Shockwaves products on offer making this a real find. Actual Garnier products are widely available from supermarkets and large chemists. Personally I have never tried any of their styling products before after being exceptionally disappointed with their shampoo’s and conditioners in the past. Fructis Style is easily identified on the shelf, coming in a lime green tube that draws the eye. ... Read the complete review

I have been using this hair gel for a while until I found a newer and better product. It doesn't do a great job with my hair but it has a wonderful smell and gives a rock solid hold. I lately straightened my hair and it worked a lot better as my hair was somewhat thinner and straighter, which made it easier to shape. The gel comes in a tub, which is a lot better than the squeezy bottle as it's easier to stick your fingers in and get out some gel rather than having to hold up a bottle and squeeze it. It's part of the Extreme range and can be bought at Tesco for £2.80. There is currently a promotional offer on where you get 2 tubs for £3.00, which is a great ... Read the complete review

I don't personally use this on my hair but I use it to style my fella's who has a mohican (is that spelt right?), nothing dramatic just funky. As he has only just recently changed to this hair style we have tried a few products to get the right look. So I use this prouct as well as an extra hold hairspray. First we tried this on dry hair which I found useless and clumped up when applying it. I then tried it on his hair when it was wet and I got a much better result. I found I needed a generous amount of the stuff to get his mohican (about 2 inches long, 2 inches wide) to stay up. The problem with this is that it takes a while to dry and still drops a little at ... Read the complete review

Until about a year ago I was an avid fan of Garnier Fructis Hard Gel but now I have to say I'm definitely not a fan of this gel. I find that it doesn't hold my hair as well as the surf hair that they also do. The gel itself comes in a green tub that I believe contains 150ml and normally costs close to £3. It has a dark green lid which I believe is what Garnier use to distinguish between the different gels. This one is categorised as extreme and will give you the wet look. You don't need to put much in your hand to be able to use it and I found that a tub would normally last me a couple of months. I found it is best to put it through your hair when ...
