Advantages: Strong Hold, Smells Wonderful, Easy To Use Tub, Good For Thin Hair

Disadvantages: Bad On Thick Hair - Heavy, Dries Quickly, Very Wet Look

I have been using this hair gel for a while until I found a newer and better product. It doesn't do a great job with my hair but it has a wonderful smell and gives a rock solid hold. I lately straightened my hair and it worked a lot better as my hair was somewhat thinner and straighter, which made it easier to shape.

The gel comes in a tub, which is a lot better than the squeezy bottle as it's easier to stick your fingers in and get out some gel rather than having to hold up a bottle and squeeze it. It's part of the Extreme range and can be bought at Tesco for £2.80. There is currently a promotional offer on where you get 2 tubs for £3.00, which is a great deal. The tub is 150ml, which isn't bad and it will last you weeks, if not months. You don't need to apply a lot unless you are trying to pull off some wacky hairstyle. Too much gel just looks greasy.

The gel has a very powerful fruity smell like everything else in the fructis range. The gel gives a wet-look, which I don't particularly like, but you can use it and rub it in with a towel to reduce this effect but still be able to style your hair.

It's lovely to work with but seems to dry on your hair very quickly so you must style it immediately. Once it dries, it turns your hair rock solid, so it will not lose its shape. I don't like the way it does this and the wet-look it does, but it's ideal if you have thin hair and like the wet-look. It's ideal to flatten hair and gel it, as it has quite a heavy feel, which makes your hair go down anyway. It's not ideal for thick hair, as it simply doesn't work. I'd recommend it if you have thin hair and want to try styling it well, as this will keep a strong hold throughout the day and it smells wonderful.

Thanks for reading,

Summary: A good hair gel for thin hair, which smells great but has a very wet look and dries quickly
