... red white and green print. It looked great on the shelves, far more attractive than most of the other hair colourants and it conveys the impression of natural even though colouring your hair is not. We are told that Laboratoires Garnier aim to offer women (don't men colour their hair?) hair colourants containing natural ingredients which are always more effective simpler and easier to use. Looking at the long list of chemical ingredients hidden away at the bottom of the box I feel that the focus on natural ingre...more

Crowned Review Laboratoire Garnier Natea: A Washed Out Blonde Bombshell (1601 words)

A long, long time ago, back in the days before videos, microwaves, camcorders, cd players, personal computers and punks appeared I had my first encounter with an hair colourant. I was only 14 and fed up with being mousy picked the colour that I fancied from Woollies. When my mother saw the results she dragged me straight up to the bathroom shreiking (both of us) and washed my hair over and over until all of the colour came out. I didn't know that my favourite colour red would look bloody awful on me. Fortunately it was just a 6 wash rinse and not a permanent colour else my mother might have washed my hair away. A few years later I became a Hiltone ...  Read the complete review

Premium Review Confessions of a Blonde (803 words)

As a child I had a head of lovely fine blonde hair to go with my blue eyes. Then tragedy struck … at the age of thirteen or so my hair turned a dull boring mouse. Now, I may be a naturally shy person, but mouse?? No way! When I reached seventeen I realised I could no longer face looking in the mirror and seeing a sepia photograph version of what I felt I wanted to be, so off my mother and I trotted to our nearest chemist to return with a box of blonde hair colour. The result was quite startling; I now had a head of vivid glow in the dark yellow hair. So began my search for the ultimate colour. About two years ago, having worked my way along most of the ...  Read the complete review

I've used several hair colourants over the last ten years or so, moreso now than ever as I have a few grey hairs (hubby's fault obviously!). This one has to be my favourite. It's also often on special offer too, which means it's generally one of the cheaper hair dyes, which can become quite expensive. I use it once a month, and my hair is always in lovely condition. I normally either go for a plum colour, the blue black or the reddish colours, all of which are nice :-) ...What You Get... Each item comes lettered A, B, C and D, and the instructions are very simple to follow. First you need to put on the sexy plastic ...  Read the complete review

Premium Review Rarely shocked by an outrageous result! (458 words)

I am a person that likes to achieve good results without too much fuss and bother. The Natea, Nutricolour masques allows me to colour my hair using this beauty care philosophy. I have a natural auburn tint in my hair anyway, but my husband love me even more as a redhead. To get the best results from this product, allow your self at least an hour. I usually set aside this time in the evening. The instructions are easy to follow. READ THEM BEFORE YOU START THE COLOURING PROCESS! I advise you have a wet flannel to clear up any spillage, and at least three old tatty towels and a comb in the bathroom with you. I also find that if I am in an old dressing gown I can ...  Read the complete review

Premium Review Laboratoire Garnier Natea: Simply the best (304 words)

Naturally I have red hair. I have always hated this, so for the last six years or so, I have dyed it black. In this time, as you can imagine, I have tried most brands of permanent hair dye, with Natea from Laboratoires Ganier, being a firm favourite. It's price is in line with most permanent colours (between 4 and 6 pounds) but it is often to be found on special offer in Superdrug or Boots. Some dyes are too runny, some don't have enough in the bottle for long hair, some have a useless conditioner, some don't last very long, most smell dreadful. Natea has none of these problems, it gives good, long lasting colour, isn't ...  Read the complete review
