Advantages: Everything
Disadvantages: None
I make no secret that I'm a Lee Stafford addict! I own so much of the range and it's something I buy in the most in the way of hair care products and this is because I have difficult to manage hair so I really don't skimp on what I spend in this area. I regularly use the shampoo and conditioner, straightening iron spray, hair mousse, hair spray and shine spray on an almost daily basis and do own other products such as serums and stuff that I use when I'm going out etc from this range. I trust this brand on every level from the ease of use to the end results I can achieve and of course the amazing smell that runs through the range. Yes I even own the matching perfume and body spray I'm so crazy about it all! lol
I'd never thought of buying this because I wash my hair every day. Up until last Thursday actually. I had to go in hospital have an injection into my spine. The idea behind it is without the jab I'm in pain so I have it, am bed ridden and in agony for a couple of days then I'm back to being pain free for about a couple of months and then that process has to be repeated for life. Not that this is any relevance to you at all I understand but when I was out shopping it was relevant to me because I knew being stuck in bed I wouldn't be able to wash and style my hair and that, would drive me insane so I stocked up on products to use kind of in bed to keep me looking and feeling ok but above anything to stay feeling and smelling fresh!
The Packaging....
150ml tall, cylinder see through bright pink bottle with matching lid which covers a bright pink spray, push button. On the front in white writing (along with the silver dog branding symbol at the top) I am told it is Lee Stafford, 'Bling', Wake Up Call, 24-Seven Hair Refresher Spray. 'Use morning, noon or night, a clever little hand-bag size multi-tasker. A quick jzeush brings hair back to life, neutralizes odours, controls static and adds shine. Just spray to activ8'. Then the size is stated at the bottom of the bottle (as I've told you already) and there is a white bar-code on the left hand side.
On the back of the bottle, again in white writing I'm told about the product, ingredients are listed, contact details for Lee Stafford are given and finally the recycle symbol is displayed. It's a great bottle. Girly in design and very much in keeping with the other Lee Stafford products within the range. The only thing I disagree with is this is suitable in size to take out in a handbag with you. It's a big size and it isn't light to cart about at all, so I wouldn't! I think that this should be available in smaller sizes maybe more like a 50ml that you could take out and about with you to use in emergencies as Lee Stafford says it is a multi-tasking product and it would be more practical.
A Bit About The Product According To The Back Of The Bottle....
Simply spritz this clever little multi-tasker onto dry hair, as you would a perfume to refresh and wake up your hair.
Use to damp down and control rebellious morning hair!
Use throughout the day or on in-between wash days to revive your hair and make it feel and smell clean again. Perfect for going out after work!
You can also spray on dry hair then blow-dry as special heat activation allows you to add volume and restyle, without having to send valuable time washing! Also proven to protect from thermal damage and leave the hair with an enhanced gloss.
As all this wasn't enough Wake Up Call even helps to repair damaged hair!
Using It....
Well it really is a great multi-tasker as promised! I have used it as I said earlier to basically spray on my hair and make it smell clean and feel fresh and it really does that with ease. The smell of this is simply divine after all. Very girly and incredibly fragrant indeed! It is quite Oriental, floral with a hint of musk and a dash of sweet honey and vanilla to make this incredibly joyful and uplifting to use (in my opinion). It has a clean smell, one that lasts for hours and usually draws admiring comments from people who can smell it.
I have also used it liberally on dry hair and then blow dried and I have on a couple of occasions just straightened my hair with ghd's and any way you want to use this seems just fine and dandy!
To use, you don't need much of this at all. You direct and squirt where you want it and then comb or brush it through. It does comes out of the bottle quite thickly but on the hair it feels damp but not greasy or over conditioning or anything like that. It doesn't feel sticky either it's kind of like a styling water you can feel due to it's moistness rather than anything else. It isn't sticky or dragging to deal with and you simply get to work while it's still damp on the hair.
I find this incredibly easy to work with. I can style my hair with ease and fragrance my hair beautifully all at the same time. It really does neutralise any odours from hair (I'm a smoker, hence why I like to wash my hair every day), and it gets rids of manky smells like that totally. It doesn't just fragrance and style hair either. No hair feels rejuvenated and soft to the touch and the gloss left is like a satin shine rather than a fake 'bling' one. It tames hair, indicates frizz and you can even 'set' you hair do with this by gently spraying a veil over the hair and it keeps it all naturally in place.
For me I thought I'd only like this product cos I was bed-ridden. I thought it would do me for that and then get banished to a cupboard somewhere but in honesty I haven't stopped using it since cos I don't want to! I'm happy to now use this every other day as in between style product rather than washing my hair daily as I really don't need to and I have noticed already my hair looks healthier! I have also used this on damp, washed hair as a simple styling product as it is a thermal protector and so I have blow-dried and straightened my hair with this and again as I'm sure your expecting by now it works beautifully in that respect too! I love the fact it really diminishes frizz, gives me control over my hair and it's less flyaway and neither overly moisturises or hydrates my hair and doesn't dry it out making it crispy either. Even using this more than once a day, my hair doesn't ever get limp and lank, dull or lifeless. No... every time I use it it revives my hair!
Overall....
Products like this prove we don't need bottles of this, that and the other hanging about littering up our lives! This does almost everything you could possibly need it to in one easy step. It styles hair, gently conditions and fragrances it, gives YOU control over your hair (so no hairspray is needed) and you don't need a shine spray because this gives hair that too! It's a really great all rounder and I'm well glad I've made it's acquaintance. Thank you once again Mr Stafford! I love it and it gets thumbs up from me big time!
I got mine in Boots priced at £5.37.
Summary: Lasts ages as you need so little to get results! Brilliant!
