I've had this Lee Stafford Hair Growth Shampoo in my bathroom for ages now and have actually just bought my second bottle. I originally only bought it because there was a 3 for £10 offer on Lee Stafford products in Boots and I needed a third item, but I'm glad I did as I really like it. The usual price when not on offer is £6.99.
It comes in a bright pink bottle as can be seen above. It is semi-transparent so you can always see when you're running out. It has a press top lid where you press one side and the other side pops up to reveal the hole the product comes out of. I do like the look of the packaging and it's definitely easy to spot.
The first thing I noticed when I opened the bottle was the scent. It's quite a strong scent and very chemical but still quite pleasant. It's kind of a deep, musky floral scent, which many of the Lee Stafford range share, but it seems stronger in this shampoo.
The shampoo has quite a thick gel texture which gives a really lovely thick, soft lather that feels gorgeous to massage through my hair and scalp. It feels quite refreshing, particularly on my scalp, and feels as though it's doing a good job of cleaning my hair without stripping it. It rinses out really easily and my hair is left feeling really fresh.
Once my hair is dry it feels soft and much fuller than usual. It doesn't feel particularly smooth and I do get quite a few fly-aways, but this is easily remedied by using a good conditioner. I find my hair looks really full and thick compared to usual, especially with regular use, the results seem to get better and better. My hair looks healthy and shiny and full of life, I couldn't ask for more really.
I can't say I've noticed any improved growth from using this shampoo but that's not what I bought it for so I haven't been looking out for it. The improvement in thickness and body can probably be put down to the same ingredients that claim to stimulate the scalp and improve hair growth.
All in all I think this is a great shampoo which has really improved the look and condition of my hair.
I have been using this shampoo now for around 6 months. I found it by looking up on the internet something to help grow my hair, but in good condition, I have always had shoulder length hair but you can't really do much with it when it is short, so decided I wanted to grow it. After looking at loads of reviews I decided to buy this Lee Stafford product. I had never used any of his products before, but now I own a whole range of them!
They are expensive than normal hair products, this shampoo will set you back £6.99 for a 200ml bottle. Even though nearly three times the price of the shampoos such as head and shoulders, herbal essences etc, it is well worth paying more for. I get mine from Boots, I have never found it in a supermarket, but Boots regularly do 3 for 2 promotions on these products, and this is when I stock up on them.
This shampoo comes in a bright pink bottle, which I love, it goes great with my pink and red bathroom accessories, and it is a nice vibrant and attractive bottle. There is not much else on the design of the bottle it is very simple and plain, with white writing explaining how the shampoo works. This shampoo not only cleans your hair and leaves it feeling like it does when you have it washed at the salon, it also makes your hair grow faster. On the bottle it explains that this shampoo fertilizes your hair follicles to create a healthy environment for your hair to grow. Now if I hadn't read reviews on this shampoo, no way would I have believed this bottle of shampoo, and would never have bought it!
However, I decided to try it, not really thinking it was going to make a massive difference, but I honestly can say that this shampoo really works! My hair has grown twice as fast as it normally does, I can tell as my roots come out quicker, and I am having to touch up my colour a lot more frequently. My hair has grown so well, not in a bad condition either, and I am so happy with my hair length now! I thought it would take years to grow my hair, but I am so impressed with this shampoo, for the price, it is well worth it if you are trying to grow your hair.
I don't just use this product, I use the hair growth leave in treatment and conditioner too, so all three put together have helped in growing my hair. But even just using this shampoo alone, it leaves your hair feeling so soft, although it does not de-tangle, my hair is hard to brush sometimes after washing with this. But it dries so nice, and does not leave your hair greasy. It has a nice shine to it, and I can tell my hair is in such better condition.
The actual shampoo itself is clear inside the bottle, and you don't need more than a 2p sized amount to cover your hair, however if you want a really good lather, you need to use more, as it doesn't lather as well as other shampoos. It is not a thick consistency, it is like a gel, but not too runny either when pouring it out the bottle. This 200ml bottle lasts me around four weeks, using it every morning, so lasts well.
I would definitely recommend this shampoo if you want to grown your hair a little faster, but not only for this, it is a gorgeous shampoo to use and leaves your hair feeling like you have had it washed at the hairdressers! Definitely worth a try, and really does help your hair grow faster and in better condition.
I got myself into a bit of a panic a few months ago when I had a dream that my hair was starting to thin. God knows why I got this into my head, but my dream was very vivid and I clearly remember waking up in a cold sweat thinking my hair was falling out. It definitely wasn't. I have very thick, coarse hair and long 47" beard, to boot.
Unfortunately, the idea stuck in my head and I went out looking for something to help during my munch hour one day. I bought a very expensive bottle of Lee Stafford Hair Growth Shampoo. I paid an extortionist £6.99 for a measly 200ml size BRIGHT PINK GIRLY bottle. I wasn't too chuffed about the colour, but hey ho, I was a bloke who was convinced he was going bald pretty quickly and I needed something I thought would do the trick, plus I only had fifteen minutes left of my munch break to find something, before I had to get back to the circus that is my office.
I used the Lee Stafford shampoo that same night. It was good and thick and it smelled rather pleasant. Not as girly as I was expecting and that was a blessed relief, I can tell you. It lathered up very well ad very quickly and I used it on my head, my beard and all over my body.
It made my hair feel soft to start with but I have to say I also noticed an immediate thickening feeling. This shampoo contains some sort of protein which is meant to expand the hair follicles to increase girth. It worked very well and I was pleasantly surprised.
I used this Lee Stafford shampoo every night for a fortnight and then I stopped. Mainly because I realised what an idiot had been and that my hair wasn't actually thinning or falling out at all.
My dear other half has been using this shampoo now too and she has said them same thing as me. It really does make our hair feel very thick and full and gives it a lot more volume. I don't think it helped to increase growth, but the immediate fuller look was evident from the first time I used this to wash my hair.
Definitely recommend if you can overcome the vivid pink bottle.
I have always had long hair, however I was finding it quite hard to maintain and got a lot of it cut off to above my shoulders last year. I was really missing my long locks and they didn't seem to grow back as quickly as before, so I thought I would try out some different things to encourage the growth. I had heard lots about the Lee Stafford range which is supposedly targeted for those who's hair never grows past a certain length. I went to Boots to pick up the hair growth treatment and thought I may as well pick up the shampoo as well as they apparently work better when used together. There is also a conditioner available but I opted not to buy this too.
The price of these is a little steep, however I figured that if it did the job, I wouldn't have to keep repurchasing it so it would be worth the extra money. The shampoo is £6.99 which I feel is quite extortionate for a shampoo, but with its added benefits I felt it was worth it. Be sure to keep an eye out for deals on the Lee Stafford range as there is often a 3 for 2 deal on which would save you a bit of money in the long run. I picked mine up from Boots so I would recommend visiting there to buy these products if you so wish.
As you can see in the image, the shampoo comes in quite a bright pink bottle, so it is easy to spot on the shelf when you are looking for it. I think it looks quite attractive in the bathroom as I like to show off my good cosmetics and beauty products! You get 200ml worth of shampoo in this bottle which is around the average amount but as you can imagine can run out quite quickly if more than one person uses it.
So how did it work? To get the liquid out you simply have to push the cap down to open up the hole where it dispenses. I must stress that you do not need a lot of this shampoo for it to do an effective job. I just give it a little squeeze so about the size of a 50p piece comes out. This is adequate for shorter hair, however if you feel it hasn't washed thoroughly just repeat this process once more. The shampoo has quite a nice, salon scent to it but it is nothing fruity or fresh which is a shame. The colouring of the shampoo is a clearish colour and is quite a nice, thick texture.
It does lather up well which is expected of a salon standard shampoo and does clean the hair thoroughly which is fantastic as well as the hair growth benefits. It washes out easily and I find it an effective shampoo to use on a daily basis. Once I had dried my hair after coming out the shower, my hair looked a lot healthier and shiny which I was very impressed with. But what I was most excited to see was whether my hair grew during the period in which I was using this shampoo.
I was the only person using this shampoo meaning that it lasted me a considerable amount of time. I would say that I was using this shampoo and the Lee Stafford hair growth treatment for around three to four weeks, and in this time I was hoping for some good results. The shampoo contains pro-growth complex which is a protein which helps to stimulate the hair follicles. This therefore creates a healthy scalp and encourages hair growth. Obviously I was not expecting to wake up one day with Rapunzel length hair, but I was hoping this would work as opposed to hair extensions.
I have to say that the results were pretty impressive! Don't get knocked down in the first couple of weeks as you can hardly notice any change, however as I approached half way in the bottle I started to notice some good results. After a months use my hair had grown a good inch or two which I was amazed with. I must note that my hair does grow quite quickly compared to others so it might not be this effective for you, but I would definitely recommend trying it. I am so happy with how much my hair has grown since I have started using this product.
After I ran out of the hair growth treatment, I continued to use this shampoo on its own. I must admit that the results were not as effective because I was only using the one product, so it is worth trying out the rest of the range if you want quicker and more effective results. However, by using just the shampoo on its own, I did still get a little bit of growth which is fantastic, but I would definitely recommend using the hair mask too.
If you are interested in reading up on the hair growth treatment, I have reviewed it on DooYoo as well so just check out my reviews.
Overall, this shampoo is well recommended for those who are serious about growing their hair an extra inch or so. It is effective and not a gimmick product, which probably explains its slightly steep price. I would recommend using along with other products in the range too. Thanks for reading.
I've had my hair short for a while now and I easily get bored with hair style/colour. I follow Lee Stafford on a social networking site and saw that a lot of people were saying how good this product was. I was a bit skeptical at first but thought lets just try it.
I headed off to buy the product to be faced with a Shampoo, Conditioner and a Hair Growth Treatment Tub. Which do I buy?! I read the back of all three and of course it said that the hair growth works better if you use all three products. Luckily these items are often on 3 for 2 at Boots so I went ahead with my purchase of all three.
You are supposed to wash your hair with the shampoo, then put the tub of hair growth on, leave for five minutes, Rinse off and then use the conditioner.
Makes hair smell amazing and my hair has never ever been as soft as it is with these products. I have always had a sensitive scalp also and these products leave my scalp feeling fine with no damage or irritation.
About a month on my hair has grown faster than before and other people have also started commenting on the length of it. Much to my satisfaction. I could not recommend this product enough! Absolutely fantastic.
