Advantages: Makes hair soft, shiny and clean

Disadvantages: Doesn't do what it says on the label, have to use a lot of shampoo to create a lather

I was intrigued to try the Lee Stafford Poker Straight shampoo after seeing it in the shop. I have naturally quite wavy hair which I usually straighten, so I wanted to see if a straightening shampoo would help me out at all!

The shampoo is available in two sizes, 250ml and 75ml. I bought the 75ml one which costs £1.71 (and paid for it with my Boots points!) since I wasn't sure if it was going to be any good or not.

The bottle is a lovely bright pink colour (very girly) Which is see through so you can see how much shampoo is left. On the front is the name of the shampoo in white print, which stands out and is easy to read.

The top of the shampoo is a plastic screw top lid, the same colour as the bottle. Once you open this, you can smell the floral smell of the shampoo. I do find the smell of the shampoo a little too strong for my liking, and I'm not overly keen on the flowery smell.

The shampoo itself is a clear colour, and is quite thick. I notice that when I put it on my hair, it doesn't create too much of a lather and I end up using a lot more shampoo than I would normally use.

The results I get with the shampoo are good, my hair is nice, clean, shiny and soft, but I really don't think that it makes my hair any straighter than it normally is which was a bit disappointing since the shampoo is called 'Poker Straight Hair'.

The shampoo is to be used within 36 months of being opened, which is ages and I'm sure there will be no problems in using up the shampoo within that time limit.

I like this shampoo, it makes my hair look soft and shiny, but as to making my hair any straighter, it doesn't do that. I also have to use more shampoo than I would normally use, so I don't think the shampoo is as cost effective as some other brands! I am glad I tried the shampoo, but I don't think I will be buying another one after I use up my miniature.

Summary: A nice shampoo, but doesn't do what it claims to

Strangely, I,ve heard lots about this shampoo over the last few days, but never tried it myself. Probably won't bother now!

Could a shampoo actually make your hair straighter though, I wonder?
