**Lee Stafford Poker Straight Dry Shampoo**
Ever since I was a teenager I have has to wash my hair everyday as it never seems to dry but stay quite greasy. I have light blond thick hair and do regularly highlight it but for some reason it still maintains the natural oils to need daily washing. Because of this my friend recommended I tried a dry shampoo for when we were on holiday to try to make it last a second day. Don't get me wrong if I am not working or going anyway for the day I will avoid washing it that day and leave it until the next day. Even when I tie it up though I can still sense it needs washing even perhaps if others don't.
**The spin**
Lee Stafford's dry shampoo for oily roots is meant to allow more days between washes. It is meant to refresh and clean hair and act as a dry shampoo. Lee Stafford is a better than the average make and one that others recommended to me a s a good brand that gave them results.
**The bottle**
It is a pink can and 150ml bottle and if you shake it you can hear a ball like thing and it is pressurised. It is a handy sized bottle for your bag or to tke on holidays or weekends away when you may be more tempted to skip a wash and try this as an alternative.
**Using it**
You have to shake the bottle and spray at the hair roots from 16cm. you just aim at the roots area that are most 'greasy' or in need of this stuff. It sprays on a powder that you need to rub in vigorously. At first you think eughhhh what is this stuff and will it come out. But don't worry it does if you blend and rub harshly.
**My opinion**
I have used this once or twice and I do not like it as it doesn't give the results I was expecting. I thought my hair would have looked like I had just washed it normally but it didn't. Whilst it did hide the oilyness my hair still did not feel right and this did not last all day. I have even put this on and then straightened my hair too and it has been passable but I still feel as if my hair needed a full wash. The other time I tried this I felt my hair still looked oily and headed for the shower anyway and also i did not like the powder it produced and really had to rub it in the roots. I didn't find this lived up to its hype and wasn't really worth the money I paid for it. Perhaps I am just too picky or have hair that just has to be washed each day.
**Recommend**
If you have hair you need (or like me in a routine) to wash everyday then I would say this is not a replacement for it. If you have normal hair then the results would be better. I will keep the bottle for dire emergencies and continue to take on mini breaks and holidays but I would not re-buy. I would therefore rate it 2/5. I am not fully sure what I paid but think it was under £4 and over £3 from Boots. Though it can be bought at Asda and other most supermarkets
Summary: This is meant to be a dry shampoo to let you leave longer between washing your hair

- 05/07/09 I use this as my hair is exactly the same as yours, always greasy. However I would rate it more highly as NO dry shampoo's will make your hair FEEL like it's been washed, they just try to take away the shiny oily greasy appearance. Someone needs to invent something that makes you feel like you've washed your hair, I would pay good money for that lol! |
