Advantages: Designer name...

Disadvantages: Dehydrated my hair...

The good thing about all the products my mum doesn't like is that I inherit them so it saves me a small fortune on makeup and toiletries!

One such item was a straightener's protector spray called 'Lee Stafford Flat Iron Protector Shine Mist' which is sold in a bright pink see-through plastic bottle for £4.88 in Boots.

The clear liquid spray has a pink pump spray nozzle and weighs 200ml and contains green tea extract which acts as a 'heat protecting agent for peace of mind when using hot straightening irons'...

I wash, blow dry then straighten my hair everyday so a product like this is essential for looking after and keeping my hair smooth and lovely.

On the back is the write up is to spray at arms length onto towel dried hair before using the hairdryer and then spray each section on dry hair before using the straighteners to protect the hair shafts from heat damage.

The green tea ingredient is included to protect the hair from environmental damage and to reduce free radical damage also.

Once opened it lasts for 36 months so there's no wastage which is cool :)

The smell is really strong and quite chemical in aroma which I found unpleasant to be honest, plus I found over time it dried hair out too much considering it was supposed to protect it.

I think a product like this you are paying for the name and definitely didn't leave my hair feeling as soft and shiny as it should.

I have used cheaper straightening sprays which have my locks more supple than brittle like this one did.

Only one star from me despite all the hype of Lee Stafford's brand name - it smelt like cheap hairspray and really dehydrated my hair, not good and not recommended :(

Summary: Not recommended :(
