I don't know whats happened to my hair over the last ten years as it seems to have developed a mind of its own. So now when I wash it, I blow dry it with the hair dryer and hey presto it's going exactly like I want it to go, then very quietly over the next 15 minutes it starts to flick in every direction you can imagine!! I then look like something thats been pulled through a hedge backwards!!!!

So out come the straightening irons, which I hate to use as they are not very good for your hair, I used to have blonde hair some years back, but it got very dry and ended up looking like straw over the years. So I went back to my normal colour of being a brunette and have been very happy with the healthy look it had, but using the straighteners had taken their toll on my locks so action is needed.

This is were Lee Staffords "Poker Straight Flat Iron Protection Shine Mist" comes in!

This comes in a clear pink plastic spray bottle, which holds 200ml./6.7fl.oz so is a far size, you can also buy this in a mini form for when going on holiday which comes in a 50ml./1.7fl.oz.

Now the idea of this is that you wash and dry your hair, then section each part of the hair and give a spray to the section that you want to straighten. The first thing you will notice is the smell. It has a really lovely scent to it, which is a bit on the sweet side but very pleasant. If you walk in to a room were someone has used this you instantly say what's that lovely smell!! Very light and fresh!!

Now this contains green tea extract which is an antioxadant that gets rid of free radicals that comes from UV's and heat styling. There is also some sort of fixing agent that holds the hair in place after you have straightened it into the style you want. It also contains Panthenol that keeps the moisture in your hair so keeping it lovely and healthy.

I find this to be a great help with keeping my hair in good condition and stops it from drying out with the use of straighteners. There are several different ranges in the Lee Stafford collection which are aimed at blondes with the titles Beach Blondes, Bling 4 Blondes and Hot Shots 4 Blondes and Blinding Brunnettes and Bling 4 Brunnettes that obviously is for Brunnettes. Also there is a whole range of different hair protecting goodies which help to keep your hair lovely and healthy like the Shine Head, Climate Control, Colour Love and Hair Rehab.

I'm not to sure what this costs as my Daughter purchased this 200ml bottle, but I have been away on holiday and bought a mini version for £1.75 which is a very handy size to have. You can also buy a bag which contains four mini versions of different Poker Straight Items to try before you buy the Full size, which consists of Dry Shampoo 50ml., Shampoo 75ml., Conditioner 75ml. and DeHumidifier 50ml all in a lovely pink holdall for £12 from Boots.

I would recommend these products as I have found them to be a big bonus when it comes to having shiny healthy hair.
