A miracle cure for dry and damaged hair for just £4!

I've been trying a lot of new hair care products recently and I don't dare think of how much I've spent on such items this last month. When I decided to take my deep red hair colour to a platinum blonde shade I knew it'd be hard work but I didn't quite anticipate just how much hard work it'd be! The good news is I have finally gotten my hair the colour I wanted; the bad news is I've completely ruined my hair in the process! Even after having a good three inches cut off to get rid of the worst bits my hair is still rather dry and very brittle.

So I've been using lots of treatments lately to boost my hairs condition and I thought the first step I should take would be to use a moisturising shampoo and conditioner which is where this product comes in. Whilst I was browsing the hair care isles of Tesco I noticed this shampoo which I hadn't seen before. The Leo Bancroft range is a new one which is exclusive to Tesco with different shampoos and conditioners to target different hair problems. Sensationally Smooth products claim to be for 'dry hair that's feeling neglected' with this particular product being called a moisturising shampoo which was exactly what I was after!

A 250ml bottle of this shampoo costs £4 from Tesco and I bought mine when the products were on a three for £8 offer. The purple bottle which shows the Leo Bancroft logo and product name and details is quite attractive in my opinion and certainly caught my eye on the shelves in Tesco.

The flip top lid allows the shampoo to be dispensed easily by giving the bottle a gentle squeeze and it's not too runny that you end up accidently pouring far too much out. My hair is quite thin and is just below my jaw in length so I don't need to use much of this at all. An olive size blob suffices I find. The clear shampoo lathers really well straight away and allows me to easily coat all of my hair in it whilst it releases it scent. It's scent is a difficult one to describe but it's quite an earthy scent which reminds me of the professional hair care products used in salons, to me it smells a lot more expensive than actually is (if a shampoo can smell expensive anyway)!

Rinsing this off is easily done too and it doesn't leave my hair feeling clogged up and filled with residue. The results are really rather nice as well!

My hair feels and looks clean after using this and it does give hair a nice added shine to it. I found my hair was easily styled after using the shampoo and I was quite impressed by that aspect alone as it had been so difficult to do anything with it before using this. But the moisturising aspect is great too. I've been using this in conjunction with the Sensationally Smooth conditioner and have been really impressed by the improvement in the condition of my hair since doing so. The first time I used the products my hair did feel a lot less dry and was much more manageable but over the past few weeks with regular washes using this shampoo and the conditioner it's just looking much healthier and a lot less dry. The brittleness of my hair is gradually disappearing and, whilst I'm still get some breakage when I brush it, this has been reduced by about 80% since using this. I'm even willing to blow dry and straighten my hair now, something I was sure would turn be bold before!

To be honest I am normally a little cautious about using products which claim to be for specific hair types as in the past I haven't really noticed any long term improvements with any of them regardless of how much they cost but this one has really impressed me. Not only does this give the initial moisture boost and clean, shiny, healthy look to hair but it also does really improve the hair's condition over time (and not even that much time either).

I've been thoroughly impressed by this shampoo and would highly recommend it to anyone with dry and unhealthy looking hair as it just works so well! Of course there are cheaper products on the market making the same claims but none of them in my experience deliver the results as well as this one does and for the massive improvement this has had on my hair in just a few short weeks I think £4 is a bargain!
