Normally I try to stay away from shampoo that is specially made for coloured hair as it tends to make my hair very coarse and impossible to style. Therefore I didn’t buy the bottle of L'Oreal Elvive Colour Protect Shampoo myself, but it was given to me by my sister who had tried it and hated it with a passion as it made her very blond, fine hair mad. And as the lovely sister she is she always gives me things that are not up to her standards… I'm so grateful. Or not. Anyway, I have brownish hair and I colour it a deeper shade of brown. In hairdresser speak I've got what is classed as "processed" hair,regular dates with peroxide, hair dye and a pair of ceramic straighteners means my poor hair practically screams to be treated to a decent shampoo and conditioner. Normally I tend to use Andrew Collinge coloured hair shampoo and conditioner, unfortunately on one of my forays into Tescos they were out of stock hence an alternative purchase was made.
