Disadvantages: Doesn't do what it says it will

I was taking a risk in buying any shampoo product from Lush. My hair is very temperamental and doesn't respond well to most expensive products, and knowing Lush to be very hit and miss, there was every chance this product would be a miss.

This product claims to naturally lighten your hair using natural ingredients like marigold, chamomile and lemon, as well as making it shiny and healthy looking. The shampoo itself is one of Lush's solid shampoo bars. You use it by lathering it in your hands like a soap, or rubbing it straight onto your head. It lathers up really well, but feels a bit, idk, fairy liquid-y in my hair. It has a citrusy fragrance that's OK, but nothing special.

I was hoping this would lighten my hair more than anything else, but it didn't do anything other than leave my hair feeling straw-like and frizzy. It did nothing to lighten my dark blonde hair. I get better lightening results making my own rinse out of chamomile tea, rhubarb, lemon, vinegar and marigold petals. Although Lush's The Blonde shampoo bar contains some of these ingredients, it just didn't work!

This product costs around £3.25 for 100g. It would be fairly good value because it would last you a while, but when something simply doesn't work, it's worthless investing in.

Summary: Useless product

I have used a shampoo bar from lush before and had the same effect. However, I do know someone who likes her hair to resemble a chicks and therefore likes this product! Strange.
