Cynthia Sylvia Stout Lush shampoo


As you might suspect from a Lush product the The Cynthia Sylvia Stout shampoo smells divine. It is slightly on the milder side of some of the fragranced shampoos available from Lush. But it does smell lovely.

It has a very lemony scent, but a sweet sort of lemon and with a hint of something else that is hard to define. Even thou the smell isn't overly strong, it does smell yummy and I love the fragrance. In fact, the Cynthia Sylvia Stout shampoo might just be one of my all time favourite Lush fragrances.

The look of this shampoo isn't as pretty as some of Lush's other products. But I still like it. The shampoo is a rich brown colour and maybe has a slightly more liquid feel about it than some of the other shampoos. This is one Lush item where the name completely suits the product and it really does resemble the colour of a good strong Stout.

Lush say that The Cynthia Sylvia Stout shampoo is great for dry or flyaway hair. However, in my opinion the shampoo is fine for use with normal hair as well. However, I don't think it would be very effective on more greasy types of hair as it really is quite a conditioning and light shampoo.

Personally I don't tend to use this shampoo every day, but instead I use it a few times a week. For no reason other than I like to use a variety of Lush products depending upon my mood in the morning. Therefore, a bottle of this tends to last me for ages.

So far with all the Lush shampoos that I have tried a little of the product really does go a long way. A small amount will give you a really good lather. When I first started using these shampoos I was quite surprised by how little I actually needed to use, which means that for me this shampoo lasts a lot longer than some of the other brands I have tried. I tend to buy the 500g bottle for £13.50 and it usually lasts me well over two months.

Would I recommend Cynthia Sylvia Stout Lush shampoo? Yes and no, depending upon your hair type. If you have normal to dry hair then this really is a nice fragranced shampoo that will leave your hair looking healthy and shiny. I will definitely be buying this shampoo again and again because I'm happy with the results and love the smell.

Definitely a Lush product to try!
