Advantages: lovely shine, depth to colour, covers grey, no packing, no chemicals

Disadvantages: a bit messy but easy if you have a friend (or person) willing to help!

I have been working with lush for over a year now and had never used the henna before yesterday!!! I just did a simple strand test with Marron (an assitant will be happy to give you a sample block with complimentary rubber gloves) and would highly recommend to those contemplating using it to have friend to help, particularly if you have long hair or are just clumsy (like me!). I already have very dark brown hair but i had natural highlights and was hoping that the Marron would give my hair a bit more depth and wanted the lighter tones to go more chestnutty! I only left my tester on for 2 hours and when i go to dye my whole head next weekend, i think i will leave it in for 1 or 2 hours extra. I haven't stopped stroking the dyed patch of hair all day! so so soft!!! and i can definately see a more rich, reddy, chestnut brown, much nicer compared to my natural hair colour! and it isn't as messy as i anticipated and i would say that i will probably find it easier to wrap whole head in clingfilm than just the strand which was slightly awkward. oh yeah, and i would also say that it is excellent value for money for such a high quality product. When you see other hair colourants in shops, you are probably paying a rediculous amount for what really is a mixture of chemicals wrapped in layers upon layers of packaging. At lush, you get what you pay for.
All Lush hennas cover grey hair aswell but becareful when using rouge or marron, as grey may come up a little more vibrant! the same applies to blonde hair: use rouge on that and you will really go red!

Summary: enriches colour and shine naturally with no packaging!
