a few good tips about Lush's gorgeous hennas, save laboriously grating the henna on a cheese grater, whack it in the food processor for a nice fine chopping. alternatively chop it into it's little block and pour over boiling water, be patient, it will take about 10 mins to melt, but its lovely and smooth doing it this way.

i always put a squeeze of lemon juice in with the henna to release the full colour, although a small amount of strong black tea or paprika (for the red shades) works well too.

for a really good coverage dont just slap it on your head and try and work it in, you'll be there for hours! section your hair off from the back and apply to the roots first then once they're all done, you can apply to the length. i always wrap my head in clingfilm with kitchen towel stuck under, just around the back of your neck and up to your ears (it always drips from these places). i usually then tie a towel turban round my head,
1) to keep the henna nice and warm and improve the colour
2) to stop drips
and most importantly....
3) to save you looking like a monster from the black lagoon if anyone pops round (its always the postie at mine!).

Ive been using Lush henna for 5 years now and its far better than any other henna product out there, the shine and condition of your hair is amazing, try it and just wait for the compliments to come flying in!
