Not as lush as it could have been (Lush Hair Hennas)

Advantages: makes your hair oh so soft!

Disadvantages: Didn't alter my hair colour or tints

Well... I used this once, mainly because they're so time consuming.
It's rather therapeutic, applying warmish gloop to one's hair, so I rather enjoyed the application of it.

Top Tip:
When using this product grate a square of it into a bowl! It makes it so much easier to melt and stir the water in!

I followed the instructions and covered my hair in cling film, and I can tell you that I felt very attractive with green goo on my head sitting watching Michael Palin!
If you're used to hair dye products, or being bored for hours on end it is ok, but of course you can't go out while your henna-ing so it's best to do in an evening whilst watching your fave DVD's.
Whilst feeling like a pamper queen I noticed that the cling film was acting like a green house on my head, although this sounds odd it is a great way to keep warm on a winters night! (So that was a plus!!)

Anyway after hours of "fun" it was finally time to remove the cling film, and the gloop had set rock hard. So as I shampooed the green nuggets washed off my newly soft hair.*

*Good point: It works soooo well as a conditioner!

Anyway, as I shampooed I began to notice a rather pungent smell, not unlike the one I had encountered when I fell in a pond when I was younger. (So basically it was smelling pretty swampy.)

Now shampooing like a bat out of hell the green stuff was finally beginning to come to an end, as the last gunge-tinted water swirled down the plug hole.

The next morning my hair was dry and looking in the mirror I went to see if my hair had changed in anyway...
Apart from being gorgeously soft my hair hadn't got any darker at all. Maybe there was a subtle difference, but already having fairly dark hair it wasn't really noticeable.

Although I do adore lush this particular product didn't work that well for me. Perhaps I would have got a better result by henna-ing every week.

Summary: Fab conditioner, not so fab for henna-ing if you already have dark hair!
