Premium Review Lush Hair Hennas: Caca Noir Results (283 words)

My hair is brown but I want it black without using any harsh chemicals or products that are cruel to animals. I'd already tried powered henna without any luck so I thought I'd give the Lush henna blocks a go. I tried the Caca Noir (did you know 'caca' is French for poo?!) I have long hair (it's just above my butt!) so dying it at home ...  Read the complete review

Well... I used this once, mainly because they're so time consuming. It's rather therapeutic, applying warmish gloop to one's hair, so I rather enjoyed the application of it. Top Tip: When using this product grate a square of it into a bowl! It makes it so much easier to melt and stir the water in! I followed the ...  Read the complete review

Last year for my birthday I desided to treat myself to a block of Caca Noir. My hair is a dark brown so i picked the Noir to make my hair darker, maybe even black. Knowing how good all the Lush products i had tried were I had high hopes for the Caca. I used 3 chunks of the Caca and left it on for about 4 hours. It took absoloutly ages ...  Read the complete review

Amazing henna (271 words)

a few good tips about Lush's gorgeous hennas, save laboriously grating the henna on a cheese grater, whack it in the food processor for a nice fine chopping. alternatively chop it into it's little block and pour over boiling water, be patient, it will take about 10 mins to melt, but its lovely and smooth doing it this way. i always put ...  Read the complete review

I have been working with lush for over a year now and had never used the henna before yesterday!!! I just did a simple strand test with Marron (an assitant will be happy to give you a sample block with complimentary rubber gloves) and would highly recommend to those contemplating using it to have friend to help, particularly if you have long hair ...  Read the complete review

I just discovered LUSH Caca Maroon (Maron), and I think it's GREAT! Here's a tip: Rather than attempting to "smash" it or grate it, cut it with a knife as if you are cutting VERY VERY thin slices, this will cause each "slice" to flake off. I put a papertowel down on the counter top under the henna block. When it had been ...  Read the complete review

I usually colour my hair with a bright colour of red. This is usually a bright one from the Live range. Ages ago I read all about Lush's Les Cacas Rouge and was intrigued. I'd never used henna before and wondered if I'd get the result of bright red hair that I love so much. At the time I'd never been into a Lush store and ordered it online (with ...  Read the complete review

I'm a bit of a perfectionist when it comes to my hair. I like to have it very shiny, and one colour all over. I first used Lush Henna a few years ago, and since then I have used it a few times a year, to add shine and even out my hair colour. -My first time- The chalkboard above the Les Cacas Henna blocks promises ...  Read the complete review

Premium Review Lush Hair Hennas: A bit difficult but results are worth it esp on grey hair! (502 words)

I've been using henna for years. Only now because my hair has some grey that I've actually needed to dye my hair. I really don't want to use the hair dye you can buy in supermarkets and drugstores (chemists in UK lingo), or beauty supply places. I have a sensitive scalp and regular dye makes my scalp sting, so you just know ...  Read the complete review

Yuck. Nasty. Gross. Ewwwww. I don't know how many ways I can say it, but Lush "Les Cacas" hair henna is just so very disgusting. What amazes me is that I actually managed to stand having THAT on my head for an entire hour. The silly things we women do in the name of beauty! The henna looks like pond scum. It smells not much ...  Read the complete review

I have always been a bit wary of using henna paste to dye my hair – my teenage experiences with the stuff left me with memories of sitting for hours with something that resembled (and smelt not unlike) a gooey cow pat on my head. Certainly not the thing for the glamour puss about town to slap on her skull. Hurrah and huzzah, then, ...  Read the complete review
