Advantages: Lovely effect, smells great, good lastability

Disadvantages: Difficult to use until you get the hang of it,

Despite being a huge Lush fan, I am quite sceptical of their solid hair products. Previously I have found using them a little tiresome and the effects not particularly impressive, so I have avoided them until quite recently. During my last online purchase I did manage to add quite a few products that I'd never tried before, and this is one of them.
Jungle Solid Conditioner

As with all Lush products, it comes with very little packaging and certainly doesn't look like your regular conditioner, it looks like a bar of green soap. Lush products aren't tested on animals and they use natural ingredients in there products where possible. They're good for your conscience, though not as good for your purse!

This conditioner costs £3.88 per 100g. When buying online this is the size in which it comes, but when purchasing in store, I presume you'll be able to buy a larger chunk if necessary.

Mine arrived packaged up in my popcorn filled box, wrapped only in a small, see through plastic bag with a sticker naming the product.
Aesthetically is looks like a bar of soap. The chunk I received is a bright lime green - looks quite similar to snot, it blends into a dark shade of green towards the bottom of the chunk, which is more of a jade colour. It looks quite pretty, but doesn't stay as good looking once it's been used a couple of times. The greens tend to blend together. I'd suggest keeping this away from your soaps in the bathroom or shower, as someone is bound to try to use it as soap.

The smell is gorgeous. It smells exotic and very fresh. You can pick out the avocado smell. It makes me think of visiting foreign countries and wandering through markets when you're greeted with some many smells that you can't identify. If you leave this in your bathroom uncovered the strong intense smell can be used as a room fragrance, which I think is great. It smells so clean and exotic, but there's a downside, it makes me depressed that I don't live in Thailand anymore.

Right, using this isn't the easiest thing to do in the world. Remember it's a bar, and you're attempting to get it on your hair, like you would a conditioner in a bottle.

Wash your hair with whatever shampoo you're using, most people would say use a Lush shampoo as it'd make Jungle more effective, but I'm currently using Original Source - Pear and Avocado, and it works well with that too!

While your hair is still wet you need to rub the bar across or through your hair. It's harder than it sounds. I find the easiest way to distribute it through my hair is to break off a smaller piece of the bar and put it in the palm of your hand, and then comb your hand and fingers through your hair, ensuring the product is working its way through your hair.

I'd say the product doesn't instantly make your hair feel special. Using some conditioners you can feel the effects instantly, and you realise how moisturising they are, not with Jungle. Once you've got a decent amount on your hair, it doesn't feel much different to naked wet hair; it's after rinsing and drying that you notice the difference.
My hair felt tangle free after I'd rinsed Jungle out, but didn't feel much soft or any more conditioned than normal.

Whilst drying my hair I noticed a dramatic improvement in the texture of my hair. It felt soft, more manageable and there were certainly no tangles. I have coloured, black hair, which is quite dry due to using straighteners far too often, so I like to use a conditioner that is suitable for dry and damaged hair. My hair tends to look quite shiny but it does have fly away bits on the top, but this conditioner tames these bits easily, making them lie down nicely.

One thing I've noticed with this is I am less likely to straighten my hair after I've used it. My hair looks and feels much better and smoother, meaning I don't really need to use the straigheners.

The conditioner has loads of ingredients that are good for skin and hair including Cocoa Butter, Fresh Organic Avocado Fresh Figs, Fresh Organic Bananas and Fresh Passion Fruit.

I love this conditioner, but I'd say it wasn't suitable for those with greasy hair, as it could make your hair look much worse. You also need to ensure you wash this out properly after using it; otherwise this can also make your hair look greasy. I'd recommend it to those with dry or damaged hair that needs moisture.

Overall I love this conditioner. It makes my hair feel amazing, smell gorgeous and makes me feel a little bit special.
The conditioner lasts well. I've been using mine daily for 2 weeks and I still have a about ¾ of my 100g bar left. It's cost affective as well as being very effective on your hair.

Summary: Green and gorgeous!
