Advantages: soft, silky hair, wonderful smell

Disadvantages: the tub

I love Lush and I love hair care products but I?ve never really been a huge fan of the Lush hair care range. I found products that worked for me from the Pantene range and for some time now I have been sticking to them religiously but I still like trying intensive conditioners and other products as treats for my hair.

I decided it was time to buy some more products from the Lush website as I didn?t have an opportunity to go to the store. While browsing I visited the ?Hair? category and noticed a number of new products, Retread was one of the new liquid conditioners.

I?ve never tried solid shampoo or conditioner but I can?t help thinking of it as washing your hair with soap so I stick to the liquid variety. The description told me that this particular conditioner was a triple strength conditioner that would rebuild hair wrecked by bleaching, straightening and blow drying etc. I don?t colour my hair but I do straighten and blow dry it so I thought I?d try this. I also liked the sound of the ingredients, with all the essential oils it had in it was bound to do some good.

As usual Lush delivered promptly, even at this time of year, and the ordering process was smooth. The description on the website does say that it is too thick to pour and that it comes in a pot for this reason. I don?t mind this as I love thick intensive formulas because they always make my hair feel gorgeous and I always feel that I?m being pampered.

The pot is the usual black, with lush logo and ingredients. The pot I purchased was a 250g one which I think is the only size available for £6.50 (plus postage and packing if you buy online). The ingredients include avocado oil, fresh cantaloupe melon, and jojoba oil, so not only does it smell gorgeous but it also enriches your hair, or as Lush themselves put it, it
?rebuilds?.

The conditioner is very thick and I put on quite a generous amount. I?ve used it about 3 times now but I still have over half the pot left and I have long hair so I was pleased with the value for money of the pot. I smoothed it over my hair and left it on for about 5 minutes they don?t say that you have to leave it on but I wanted my hair to absorb the full goodness and I like the feeling of pampering myself so I left it for a while. It certainly feels luxurious.

Compared to the other intensive conditioning treatments I?ve tried this was quite a lot thicker and they don?t even say that it is an intensive conditioner. After rinsing it out my hair felt soft and silky and I could still smell the wonderful oils after blow drying. The price is good too, better value than buying a sachet which usually cost about £1 and only contain enough for one usage.

I stick to Pantene simply because I know it works. I don?t always use Lush hair products so I can?t decide if I?ll buy this again and I love trying different lush products. It works a treat though so I?ll probably end up coming back to it at some point.

If you?ve tried other hair care products by Lush I?m pretty sure you?ll love this and at least you know the ingredients are all natural too and of course it has not been tested on animals.

Thanks for reading!

Oooh I might try this then as I've not progressed to their shamppos and conditioners yet!

I've just discovered lush but have not tried any hair products, I'll have to give some a go.
