better than regular anti-dandruffs (Lush Soak & Float Shampoo Bar)

Advantages: works better than most other products out there

Disadvantages: the smell, not completley cured my scalp problems

I've had a problem scalp for years - dry, itchy, flaky. I've tried anti-dandruff shampoos, over the counter shampoos, even been to the doctor and got lotions and shampoos on prescription. Nothing works for more than a few weeks, or they really dry my hair out and it breaks really easily.

I decided to try this shampoo after Lush cruely stopped making Recon, their scalp conditioner, which is the only thing that worked on my poor scalp. It does work, but not the same extent.

I found that the shampoo bar took a bit of getting used to, but soon found it was quite theraputic rubbing the bar into the worst bits of my scalp. Once I rinsed my hair, I found that the very strong smell of the bar still lingered, and this also put me off a bit. It reminds me of tar and burnt wood, but the smell isn't as bad as some chemical, liquid anti-dandruff shampoos. My hair did feel clean afterwards.

Afterwards, my scalp was still quite dry but the flakes were drastically reduced. I've been using the shampoo for almost 3 months now (my bar is almost gone, so it does last a while), and I still get the occasional flaking break out (this I think is stress related and not a failing of the shampoo), but my scalp still feels dry and itchy.

I have spoken to other people with similair problems to me, and they have found that soak and float has completley solved their scalp problems, maybe I'm just unlucky!
