Lush Veganese Conditioner
Advantages: vegan friendly, smells nice, lightweight, gives shine, soft hair
Disadvantages: more expensive than shop brands but worth it
I have very fine hair which is poker straight but has the major problem of getting greasy roots and often split or dry ends. I could never seem to find a conditioner that would cleanse my hair and prevent greasy roots but also one that moisturised my ends, but not too much and smelt nice too.
I remember the first time I decided to use Lush for my hair care and I was immediately seduced my the smell of I love Juicy shampoo and wanted something to compliment it. A kind and smiley member of staff came to my aid on seeing my confused face and suggested Veganese.
I was a little puzzled at first, I am vegetarian but not vegan, so didn;t want a product purely on that fact, but the kind lady suggested I should not be put off by the name and insisted I had a smell ....... mmmmmm
Veganese has a very Lemony citrus scent, very refreshing and nice to smell. As an ingredient, Lemon is so important as it not only gives your hair a great scent but it helps to give it a fabulous shine. It does also contain Lavender, which I can't say I smell but that will help relax your hair, which promotes growth and is said to add shine too.
As this is suitable for vegans it contains no Lanolin which comes from sheared shepp wool. I can't honestly say that this conditioner is any different to any, it's certainly not worse but I'd say a lot nicer!
It has a nice consitency, not too rich and thick, not too runny. Its almost gel like in some ways. Maybe this is due to it contianing Agar Seaweed Gel, which helps to soften the hair naking it feel so soft and lushous. This conditioner is extremely light weight which is perfect for us people with fine hair. It didn't clog my hair, but rather cleansed it and left it feeling, smelling and looking lovely. No greasy roots here!
This product comes in 3 sizes; 100g = £3.50, 250g = £6.95 and 500g = £11.50. The more you get the better price it is. It is more expensive than shop brands but your have to consider the ammount of fresh and organic ingredients it contains and the fact that Lush spend only a little bit on packaging and a lot on the product.
It contains such fab ingredients as Lavender Flower Infusion, Rosemary Infusion, Agar Agar Gel, Lemon Oil and Fresh Organic Lemon Juice. Most conditioners use synthetic flavours and scents and don't actually contain an y natural ingredients.
Veganese is a lovely conditioner which is both beautiful to smell, lightweight enough to prevent grease build up and gives a lovely soft shiny bounce to your hair. I would recommend this product to anyone with fine or greasy hair. It's fab.
Summary: Lovely lightweight conditioner
