Veganese Lush conditioner

I am sure most people will recognise the brand - Lush, and if not, I do recommend that you try some of their amazing bath, soap, hair and shower products, along with all the other items that they have in their ranges. Lush pride themselves on using natural ingredients and keeping things as fresh and as natural as possible with most if not all of their products suitable for vegans.

When I first tried the Veganese conditioner I was a bit shocked at how thin and liquid the conditioner actually was. Usually with conditioners the texture is quite silky and thick, but Veganese is a tad watered down and thin. When using it you really have to be careful when pouring some out to make sure it doesn't end up everywhere but in your hair.

One of the main reasons that I started using Lush hair products including Veganese conditioner was because I kept on having patches of irritated skin on my scalp. I tried changing products but I never seemed to have much luck in finding something that left my hair clean, conditioned and my scalp feeling healthy, until I discovered Lush's beautiful range of hair products.

Usually just the smell of any Lush product is enough to have me itching to try it, but Veganese is not one of those products. Don't get me wrong it does smell good, but it's just a bit of a bland yet nice lemon smell, especially in relation to the majority of their other products. But, the benefit of a blander smell in the conditioner is that it does allow the shampoo fragrance more of a chance to shine through. Especially, if like me you use some of Lush's wonderful smelling shampoo range (- for a recommendation check out my I love Juicy shampoo review).

The main downside of this conditioner for me is that it isn't intense enough. It makes a great daily conditioner but sometimes my hair just needs a bit more of an intense condition and this just doesn't deliver that. Lush do recommend that this product is suitable for all hair types, but personally I think it would be too light for people with drier hair needs.

Veganese is an expensive product, more or less all of Lush's products come with a more expensive price tag than you might expect to pay in a supermarket. Usually I don't begrudge the money as you are getting a lot of quality product for your pennies.

Would I recommend Lush's Veganese conditioner? Well yes and no, I do like it and I do think it leaves my hair in a better condition than without it, but I'm not sure it is completely worth the rather hefty price tag. I'm not sure that after I have finished my 250g bottle that I will be buying another one, it's just a shame that Lush don't offer all that many different conditioners at the moment.

To summarise I would say this conditioner is good but not great.
