Advantages: natural, cruelty free and has no animal by products in the ingredients

Disadvantages: absolutely none at all guranteed

If you have seen my past reviews you'll know that I've gone through a mass amount of conditioners from a number of different leading brands and often haven't had all that great results.

My boyfriend is vegan and he recently purchased the veganese conditioner because of this reason and I tried it and my hair is softer, shinier and more vibrant than it has ever been in my life. And there's no greasy residue the day after - it gives a weightless and light feeling to the hair and doesn't weigh it down. This is because of the fact that lush have removed the product "lanolin" which is formed from sheeps wool and added in the majority of retailer conditioners, so even though all of these leading brands tell you it's "cruelty free" they still use animal products, so it's even more of a reason to use veganese as there is absolutely nothing in it that comes from an animal.

It is made with a seaweed gel base and smells somewhat like lemon sherbet as it contains lemon oils and juices which are natural cleansing agents that are perfect for thoroughly cleaning your hair from your scalp to your ends, and has a nice light citrus aroma that leaves you feeling ultra fresh and uplifted. Perfect to wake you up on a morning or freshen up on a hot summer day. All the ingredients are vegan friendly; as you can probably figure by it's name "veganese" - this means that all the ingredients are mostly natural and contain no materials whatsoever that are derived from animals, completely cruelty free. So you can have the piece of mind knowing you're looking after yourself as well as the animals!

The all natural ingredients listed on lush's site and on the bottle are as follows:
- Lavender Flower Infusion, Rosemary Infusion, Agar Agar Gel, Lemon Oil, Benzoin Resinoid, Fresh Organic Lemon Juice, *Citral, *Limonene. (*occurs naturally in essential oils).

and the synthetic ingredients are:
- Cetearyl Alcohol, Propylene Glycol, Cetearyl Alcohol & Sodium Lauryl Sulfate, Cetrimonium Bromide, Perfume, Methylparaben.

It also contains a natural ingredient called "benzoin resinoid" much like Frankincense and Myrrh, the natural compound Benzoin Resinoid ties in with a long history of use as medicine and incense particularly within the Eastern countries/regions and can be bought on it's own to calm and relax the senses. And don't be put off by the lemon scent either as it doesn't smell bitter or artificial - it's soft, gentle and fruity and absolutely gorgeous and delightful to use, so much so you'll want to spend more time in the bathroom!

The only down side is that it is way more pricey than your average conditioner and the larger 500g bottles cost £12.50 there are also two other sizes available at 250g for £7.25 and 100g for £3.95, so unless you're used to spending this amount on a daily conditioner, it's probably best that you treat yourself when you can afford it or use it as a weekly treatment so you get much more for your money.

The bottles are also 100% recycled so not only are you looking after animals, you're looking after the environment by using recycled products. Although do be aware that it is better to have the product held up right once you have taken the tape off and used it as the bottles are prone to leaking on occasion as I have experienced this with a number of lush products in the same packaging.

If you're lucky enough to be able to reach a Lush store, you will more than likely be offered a free sample of this if you discuss it with a member of staff as all are extremely friendly and helpful no matter what store they work at and are encouraged to give you samples and help out with your purchases - so if you're feeling a bit sketchy about spending so much money on a conditioner, convince yourself with a sample and you'll definitely find yourself going back and buying the full thing believe me! If you can't make it to a store you can purchase it at lush's online store, however samples are not available this way but you can always purchase the smallest bottle and give it a try.

All in all I can honestly confirm that I have never, ever experienced results like this with any other conditioner before and my hair feels and looks like I just stepped off a television commercial for salon hair! It is bouncy, has gentle volume and intense shine with smooth and moisturised ends. I am beyond impressed with this conditioner and will always make sure I keep money aside for this godly creation as nothing else compares and ever will do!

Get yourselves out to lush now and get yourself some of this miracle conditioner, you won't regret it!

Summary: The most phenomenal conditioner I have ever used suitable for vegans, nothing compares to this!
