“ Brand: Mark Hill / Type: Hair Shampoo „
- A bit about the product and packaging -
Mark Hill Holiday Hair shampoo comes in a small 75ml bright orange bottle with a removable lid, there is a push down lid underneath to stop the bottle from leaking. On the front is a picture of a palm tree, which complements the 'Holiday Hair' theme well. The Mark Hill emblem runs down the left hand side of the bottle, as do the rest of his range, this is great as you can spot the range whilst browsing in the shop and you know which brand it is automatically without even having to read the writing. It says on the back of the bottle, good for bleached hair, ideal for daily use, restores moisture and shine, UV filters protect your hair, gently cleanses away the day's impurities. The shampoo itself doesn't really have much of a smell to it, although it does smell ever so slightly like sun cream. The liquid is a transparent orange colour and quite runny... so be careful when squeezing it out of the bottle!! The overall appearance of the product it fab if you are going away as the bottle is travel sized, my only niggle is if you were looking for something for an everyday use at home then this isn't for you, due to you only getting about 5-8 uses per bottle.
- Where can I buy it and how much is it? -
After a bit of research, I have discovered Boots are the only place that sell the Mark Hill Holiday Hair, unless shopping online, Its usually around £1.99 for 75ml.. which may seem a little expensive but it is defiantly worth it if you have hair like mine!!!
- My personal experiences and opinion -
My main reason for buying this product was, I was simply going on holiday and I know my hair tends to go fluffy and fly away with being in and out of the pool all day. I have very fine but naturally curly hair and I struggle to straighten it at the best of times! So I popped down to Boots to buy some serum and came across the Mark Hill Holiday Hair Range. On first trying the shampoo I could tell it was different to your everyday shampoo, it felt slightly oily when applying it to my hair and didn't lather up too well, but I could feel it moisturising my hair. I always shampoo twice before conditioning to make sure my hairs clean from root to tip using a 50p sized blob of the product. I felt this wasn't enough so used a little more than I normally would- which doesn't make the product last as long as my regular shampoo would. My overall outcome of the shampoo were good results. Usually whilst abroad my hair is a nightmare in the humidity, it usually becomes frizzy after blow drying it, but after using the shampoo my hair was sleek and shiny and stayed this way after straightening it too. I was very impressed with how tame my hair was, and to be honest wished it was like this more often at home!! I was disappointed to discover Mark Hill didn't do a bigger version of Holiday Hair and found it a little expensive to keep buying a small bottle every week to keep my hair manageable... but please don't let this put you off, this is a fab product and well worth a try.

I was going on holiday for a week so needed some shampoo to take but I didn't want to take a bulky shampoo and conditioner as space was limited so when I saw this I thought it would be perfect, and at only £1.95 is quite good especially for Mark Hill products.
The package is very bright and summery due to the nice orange clear bottle and once I smelt the shampoo it was so nice. It also smells really summery and quite coconutty. I loved the smell so much that when I got home I really wanted to buy a big one and use it all the time, but unfortunately the only do the small 'holiday size'. Apart from the smell the shampoo is overall really good. I do believe that it does give protection again the sun as I usually feel on holiday that my hair is really tuggy and hard to manage, but this shampoo seemed to make hair soft and manageable. I also don't know if this had anything to do with the shampoo but I had just had my hair coloured before going on holiday and I feel that this shampoo sort of 'locked in' the colour as it did not fade at all.
Overall I would definitely recommend this product, perfect size and great quality conditioner that protects your hair from the heat.
