As a lover of hair bleach my hair can often feel very dry and stick like... my mum hates me bleaching my hair and I can only assume she discusses this with her hairdresser and as a result she often walks away from the salon with little samples that her stylist has given for me to try out, to try and sort out the condion of my hair.
The latest samples I have come with are Matrix Total Results Moisture Hydratation shampoo and conditioners - which come in sample sachets. This review is about the shampoo from that range.
The sample packet is mainly white in colour and made out of hard plastic - it comes with a slit in the side made for easy opening to the sachet but this did not work for me and had to result to using scissors to get the liquid out.
The front sachet claims to make hair anti-dry, touchable, radient and replenished with its fibre gloss technology. The total sachet contents come to 10ml / .34 FL oz.
For use you simply apply, lather and then rinse - the usual safety instructions follow such as if it gets in your eyes rinse straight away with water.
When you squeeze the sample from the packet you see that the shampoo is slightly thicker than regular shampoo which is great as there is less chance in any spillage from your hands or hair during application. It also gave me the impression it would be better for lathering.
The colour of the shampoo is a pearly yellow shade and has a pleasant apple tint to the scent.
For a shampoo that salons use I have to say this shampoo dissapointed me and the scent of this was the only thing that impresses. As thick as the shampoo is, it doesn't lather in your hair at all. I have very short shoulder length hair and this tiny sample was barely enough to cover my own hair so would be completely useless on someone with longer length.
Due to lack of lather I felt my hair didn't get a good clean at all and did not appear to help the condition and actually felt more dry after the product had been washed off.
Needless to say I will not be going near this conditioner again... However I thought the conditioner worked a bit better and I will soon be writing a review to cover my thoughts on that product.
You can often get free samples of this in a hair saloon but if you wish to buy the full size product you can buy 1L from Amazon for £11.49 including delivery.
