I have shoulder length hair that is quite fine so it can get dry easily. I have various lotions and potions that I use to keep my hair looking and feeling healthy and one of the products that I have been enjoying using recently is the Milk Shake conditioning whipped cream.
*Whipped cream for your hair?*
This no rinse conditioning treatment from Milk Shake is designed for all hair types and works to leave your hair soft, shiny and healthy.
' The milk proteins improve the hair structure and conditioning special emollients give long lasting hydration'.
The whipped cream comes in a canister much like how real whipped cream does or hair mousse. You simply need to give the canister a shake and push the trigger for the product to be released from the nozzle. As with hair mousse you do need to be careful with how much you dispense as it does expand a little before application.
*Using the product*
As soon as the product is released you are greeted with a gorgeous sweet smelling scent. It kind of reminds me of how ice cream flavour chewits used to smell. It is very reminiscent of a food smelling product, quite sugary and creamy.
You need to use this on wet hair so I tend to use it once or twice a week just to give my hair a bit of a boost and a treat.
To use the product I simply squirt it out from the canister and then put an even amount of product into each hand. I then ruffle it through my hair in no particular way just to make sure the my head is fully covered. To my surprise the mousse does not feel at all sticky on my hands despite being so sweet smelling. I then brush through my hair with a brush. The product brushes through my hair easily with no tangles or knotting.
Usually when I use a hair treatment I like to let my hair dry naturally but when I do use a hair dryer I have found that it dries easily leaving no residue.
Once my hair is dried it looks so much healthier. It feels incredibly soft especially at the ends which tend to be dry. My hair is quite straight anyway but when I have used this it looks a lot sleeker with more of a gloss. One area which I have not noticed any significant improvement from after using this product is split ends. It does not repair them at all so I use a different product for this.
You can smell the lovely scent on your hair for a couple of hours after using this, if I use it at night I can still smell it on my hair in the morning but only slightly.
A 200ml can of this is around £14.79 which is quite expensive considering there are other similar conditioning products on the market. I do not think I would pay the full price for this but if I found it at half of this it would be a definite investment.
I do really like this product but think it is priced a bit high. For that reason I am rating the Milk Shake conditioning whipped cream 3 stars.
I love beauty boxes. They always surprise me with brands I don't know, or products that I'm unaware of. This was a lovely surprise several months back.
This is a leave in conditioner, that is applied to damp hair. It can then be blow-dried or left to dry naturally.
The container is a metal bottle with a nozzle head, much like a hair mousse. I love the design and find it really easy to use the nozzle to get the required amount of product without making a mess. I use just over half a palm's worth on my hair, which is past my shoulders, and only apply it to the ends of my hair. The texture is also similar to that of a hair mousse.
It leaves my hair feeling soft and silky and smooth. It does not leave behind any sticky or heavy residue. I use it daily and it does not build up in my hair at all. My hair is left shiny and quite bouncy, which is no mean feat given that my hair is fine and usually lifeless.
It also works well to de-tangle my otherwise tuggy hair, and does not leave my hair greasy.
It feels like I've just been to the hair salon when I use this product. It really is a gem.
But the best thing about this is the smell. OHMYGOSH it's divine.
To me it smells of sweet vanilla and toffee. I actually want to eat it. I have managed to resist the urge so far, but it's tempting. The smell also lingers for most of the day, which is a bonus.
A large 200ml bottle of this can be bought from about £11 online.
Used every day it does run out fairly quickly, and it's hard to tell how much of the product is left due to the bottle design not being even semi-transparent.
I still think it's worth it because it's so good, and has worked wonders for me and my usually lacklustre locks.
This is a review of Milk_Shake Conditioning Whipped Cream which is a no rinse leave in condiitoner for hair. I received this in a recent beauty box and had heard really good reviews about it so was eager to try this product.
The product comes in a pressurised container with a nozzle that you squirt the product from. The tin is white with yellow accent for the product brand.
I couldn't wait to try this leave in conditioner as I have had mixed results with other brands in the past. To use, you shake up the can and squirt the product in to the palm of your hand, around a golf ball size to clean damp hair. I finished off with a blow dry and was amazed at how soft and shiny and straight my hair was. It also smelt really wonderful, like I had just left the hair dressers a really rich and buttery smell.
A 200ml bottle sells on Amazon for £13.95 (free P&P) which would last me ages as I would only use this when blow drying (so not often) rather than when leaving my hair to natural dry which is what I do.
I am amazed at just how brilliant this product worked on my hair. It was very similar in consistency to hair mousse but it didn't leave me with any hard bits in my hair afterwards. My hair smelt great and looked really nice and properly finished off. It felt conditioned and protected and is something I will continue to enjoy using on my hair.
I really thought I'd use this product once and then rehome it as I am not one for fussing with my hair. If I get the hairdryer out it's usually a special occasion as I just don't usually have the time to dry my long hair or I am trying to keep the house quiet at night time whilst the children sleep (which is when I usually wash my hair). I had never heard of this brand until I received this product in my beauty box but I can understand the hype about it now I have used it myself. I am so pleased I got to try some as it is one I can recommend and also see myself purchasing in the future.
