      Very helpful

      expensive, but worth it

I'm not brand loyal when it comes to shampoos and conditioners, I'm happy to use whichever products happen to be on offer or seem to be the best value. I also tend to splurge on premium haircare products and then just use them occasionally so that they then feel like an indulgent treat.

The most recent premium haircare products that I purchased were the MOP Lemongrass Shampoo, MOP Lemongrass Conditioner and MOP Lemongrass Lift It Spray. I've used other MOP hair products before and really liked them, and so I was happy to give the Lemongrass products a try. The MOP Lemongrass Conditioner is £13.60 for a 300ml bottle, I bought mine from John Lewis, but they also sell MOP products in Selfridges and Harvey Nicks as well.

MOP stands for modern organic products. MOP products are not tested on animals, and don't contain any artificial fragrances - the only fragrances contained in MOP products are those created by the organic fruit, vegetable and herb ingredients. Some of the MOP products are even suitable for Vegans, the Lemongrass Conditioner unfortunately isn't suitable for Vegans (the Lemongrass Shampoo is however). MOP Lemongrass Conditioner is sulphate free, it is not however paraben free or gluten free.

The Lemongrass Conditioner comes in a squarish shaped bottle with a flip top lid. The squarish shape makes the bottle easy to hold and use in the shower with wet, soapy hands. The top of the lid is flat, so that when the bottle is nearly finished you can stand it upside down on its lid, which I like because it then makes it easy to get the last few bits of conditioner out as it will naturally settle at the lid end, I like to ensure that I use every last bit of expensive products so that I can feel like I'm getting my money's worth!

The bottle states that it's for fine hair. It contains extracts of lemongrass and chamomile to help promote body and shine while keeping oil and pollutants under control. And honey and wheatgerm to naturally nourish delicate hair and work to maintain elasticity. It states that it leaves hair fresh and free.

The Lemongrass Conditioner smells just like the Lemongrass Shampoo - really lovely, it smells really natural and fresh, the only scent I can pick out is a hint of lemons, it's really more of a clean and refreshing fragrance I would say. Layering both the shampoo and conditioner creates a really rich yet refreshing, clean and fresh 'lemony' scent on my hair which lingers in my hair for absolutely ages, I can still actually smell this in my hair the following day.

This is quite a thick conditioner and so it is easy enough to coat my hair completely in it, and it doesn't run down and slide out of my hair. I apply a large dollop all over my fairly long hair, and then I pile it up on top of my head in a bulldog clip and leave it to soak in whilst I get on with other things in the shower; body scrub, shaving, face masque, taking a shower etc. I typically leave this to soak in for around 15 minutes. The conditioner rinses out fairly quickly and easily, but it does still feel as though my hair is still slightly coated in the conditioner after I've rinsed it out, in a good way not a bad way though.

Once I get out of the shower my hair is supremely easy enough to comb through after using this conditioner, this basically leaves my hair completely tangle and knot free. This is really lightweight and doesn't weigh my hair down, yet it's meaty enough to tame any tangles and to leave my hair feeling and looking lovely and soft and smooth. My hair feels completely nourished and in much better condition, even whilst still wet.

Once my hair is dry it feels and looks very healthy and very clean after using the MOP Lemongrass products, and my hair looks wonderfully naturally soft and shiny after using the conditioner. I find my hair really easy to style after using this as it feels in such good condition. The shampoo along with the conditioner seem to smooth and tame my hair, it's much less flyaway, and it's much sleeker, it's also much bouncier and seems to have mode body and life to it. I always leave my hair to dry naturally as I don't own a hairdryer, and I find that I can just leave my hair with my natural wavy look after using this. My waves look sleek and shiny and defined, rather than the dry and frazzled look that they can sometimes take once on my hair is dry, and any frizzy bits are definitely banished.

Although this was very expensive for a conditioner it really does produce fabulous results. I love the fragrance, and the fact that it lingers in my hair for so long. I'd certainly repurchase this. In fact I'd probably use this all the time if it was cheaper.
