Because I have sensitive skin I'm always on the lookout for natural alternatives to regular cosmetics and body care products. I noticed Naked shampoo and conditioner in a buy one get one free offer in boots and decided to try it out. At 97% natural I couldn't not try it!

Naked products are sodium laureth sulfate and paraben free. I'll leave it up to you to decide whether these are bad or not, I don't like them personally because they irritate my skin. SLS makes the lather more bubbly, parabens are preservatives. Both of these are highly controversial, and I can live without either of them regardless of whether or not they are damaging.

It comes in a cylindrical bottle with a push down lid. The bottle is recyclable and the plastic is clear so you can see the product inside. The shampoo is mostly clear with a slight colour tint. Since it contains no colourants, this is probably from the cinnamon and sunflower. The scent of the shampoo is slightly sweet, cinnamon and something I can't name. It is a pleasant scent.

On application, the shampoo doesn't lather very much. You might be tempted to put on loads but actually only a small drop is needed for shoulder length hair, maybe 10p coin size. It rinses out to squeeky clean. Even without following with conditioner, my hair was shiny and soft and very clean without drying out. There was no build up left on my hair and drying was easy and fast.

I totally recommend this, at only £4 a bottle, and often on offer in Boots, it's cheap enough to use on the whole family.
