Advantages: lovely smell, does decrease frizz and increase softness
Disadvantages: no wow factor, didnt seem to make a dramatic difference
This is an intensive hair mask, after conditioning treatment, for very dry and damaged, frizzy hair. It claims that the ingredients work together to repair split, snapped and frizzy hair. This is available from boots, you can either get the test sachet with is £1.39 and contains just one 20ml use (although im not completely convinced 20ml is enough, but then i do have pretty long hair...) or you can purchase the 400ml tub for £7.99, for 400ml of product i would say this is a pretty good price, as most hair mask products tend to be 200ml and around the £5 mark. This product is 97% natural which is a definite up side because it means no chemical residues left behind, chemical residues left in hair has been said to slow down growth pattern.
Opening the tub, you can see that it is a thick white substance, very thick in fact, which means that i find i need to use rather a lot at once, but from experience the thick conditioning treatments tend to be the better ones, so i was very much looking forward to the result. The smell is beautiful, it smells of nut butter (and faintly of fruit, although this is not the main smell, just a tribute to all the natural ingredients) well, i find it best to leave in your hair for just around 5 minutes, too long and my hair ends up feeling very heavy (probably because of all the oil based ingredients) and too little time and it does very little to your hair.
My hair felt nice and soft after this, and smelt just lovely, frizz was reduced but not gone completely which i was a little disappointed by, i found that my hair did not actually seem much more healthy, which i was disappointed by, snapped and slit ends looked exactly as they did before, for someone with a major frizz problem, the results from this would probably seem more dramatic, but for be it just didnt seem to do enough, the smell stuck around for a while which was great, a little extra softness, and a little less frizz, not the dramatic results i was looking for, but if you do have a serious frizz problem, i should imagine the results would be much more noticeable, a friend of mine with much thicker hair seemed amazed by the new texture it seemed to give to her before pretty frizzed up hair.....so i guess some hair types will take to this product better than others, so i would say it is worth a try, i did like this item, just no wow factor for me.
Summary: a pretty good deep conditioning treatment, it did make a difference and the smell was lovely
