Advantages: I bought it for £1, smell is quite pleasant, a little goes a long way

Disadvantages: Hair felt greasy and flat after use

On a recent trip to visit a friend I forgot my shampoo so I popped into the pound shop in Edinburgh to see if they had any there for a little cheaper than other places. I found this Neutrogena Clean Replenishing shampoo for only £1 so I bought it. I have used Neutrogena products in the past and knew they were quite good so I was pleased with my find!

The bottle comes in a 300ml size and is made of clear, see-through plastic. The plastic is quite soft meaning that it is easy to squeeze the bottle to help get the shampoo out. The lid is one that you push down on one side and the other side clicks up to allow the shampoo out. This kind of lid makes the bottle really easy to open and close, but if you don't like this particular lid it is possible to just screw it off. The lid is a silver/grey plastic colour and I think the overall packaging is quite attractive.

The shampoo is meant to 'replenish moisture to improve hair and add shine' and 'sinse clean without heavy build-up'. This sounded good to me!

The shampoo is quite thick in consistency and is a pink/purple colour. The smell is quite pleasant, it smells very clean and a little fruity.

I find when using this shampoo you only have to use a small amount and it goes a really long way. You can use a tiny blob and it will create lots of bubbles and lather. I personally quite like lots of bubbles and lather since it feels like I am giving my hair a really good clean!

When I had finished washing and drying my hair I was really disappointed. My hair looked and felt quite greasy and flat. I always rinse my hair really well so I don't think it was down to my hair washing skills. The smell of the shampoo lingered slightly on my hair and it was quite pleasant, but overall I was disappointed with the results the shampoo gave. I really didn't feel like it had given me a proper wash and my hair didn't look as nice and clean as it normally does.

I have seen this in several shops so if you really want to buy it, its not that hard to find! There is a matching conditioner to go with this shampoo, which also cost me £1 at the pound shop which I use alongside the shampoo.

At £1 it's not the end of the world, and I'm going to finish this bottle since I don't like things going to waste, but once the bottle is finished I won't be buying another one.

Summary: Not one I will be buying again
