Advantages: None

Disadvantages: takes AGES to rinse out, nasty colour, quite dear.

So.. fancying a change, I decided to go for a Hayworth style red, instead of the Bacall dark blonde. I scouted around for loads of different red dyes but there seemed to be a dearth of them on the market. You either get ginger, or a mahogany deep red. It was then that I saw nice and easy's perfect 10 in light auburn.

Great" i thought!

An hour later as i was staring in the mirror, i thought: "Awful!"

The problem with perfect ten is just that- it only takes TEN minutes. it warns you not to leave the dye on for more than ten minutes. Problem is, it takes ages to work through a full head of hair, maybe 30 minutes, so i was left worrying about the colour development.

When i rinsed my hair, i was put in mind of another review on here where a lady said it took her 20 minutes to rinse this out. This is true. i missed coronation street rinsing this out! There were tides of red water.

When i dried my hair, it was damned awful. Really. think burgundy red, not light auburn. It hadn't even taken to the ends.

Sigh. Right away i ended up googling "remove red hair dye", and resorted to washing my hair in hot water and biological washing powder. Nasty, but it does a good job. Tides of dark purple water came out from my hair. Dark purple??? This was clearly the undertone of the dye and what made it such an awful colour. It looked unnatural to the point where my partner found it hilarious. Well, guys like a girl who can make em laugh, I guess...

Four washes on, loads of shampoo, surf, and fairy liquid and its come out of the ends, but the nasty colour still remains. Urgh. I shall have to go back and buy the lifesaver colour that is light ash brown, from nice n easy to tone this horror down...

Avoid, is my verdict....

Summary: Don't bother!
