Advantages: Fab Gloss Colour and Speedy Colouring Time!
Disadvantages: Made My Hair Feel Like Straw!
Perfect 10 hair colourant claims to give you "High Speed, High Gloss Colour in just 10 minutes". It is a permanant hair colour which means it does not wash out.
I decided to change the hair colourant I was use to, and went for Clariol's nice 'n easy, Perfect 10 in Dark Brown. It looked quite good with its new fandangaled applicator, or so I thought!
Now I have been dying my hair on and off for around 10 years and I have used so many different types of colourant that I like to think I can apply them with some ease. However having tried the new applicator which apparantly is designed to give "high speed" colour, I took it off! unfortunately for me it hindered me being able to see where I was applying the colour and being able to get into my hair without it getting caught.
That aside the 10 minute treatment was brilliant, I didnt feel like I was hanging around waiting for ages. I washed out the colourant and did all the necessaries and I was extremely happy with the colour my hair came out. Exactly as it said on the box, which is quite rare for me as my hair has so many different colours in it.
Now here is the problem I have found. Since dying my hair with this patricular dye, my hair, my fringe in particular has become very very brittle and dry. It even snaps off, which is not good (slight understatment!!). I have used hot oils and all sorts to try and bring it back into good condition, but nearly 3 months after using the colourant my hair has still not recovered. This could just be down to my hair and the fact that this was the straw that broke the camels back so to speak.
This said, I will not be using it again, which is an extreme shame as the colour was very good and the speed at which it worked was brilliant.
Summary: Great for colour and time frame, but not so great for hair condition!

- 07/10/09 I really liked this one but I agree about the applicator - just makes it harder to reach the roots. Luckily my hair didn't have the same reaction as yours. |
