      Advantages

      Disadvantages

The only shampoo I have used that will calm my scalp. I tend to get psoriasis which flares up when I am stressed. Problem is I can't get this shampoo anywhere. Is it out of production? I am spending a fortune on other shampoos that promise to be 'kind to the scalp' but within a day my scalp is extremely sore again. Maybe its the yling ylang in it that helps.

      Shampoo which promises miracles

      Hairomatherapy

Always on the look out for new shampoos and conditioners, I bought this with the conditioner, because I was seduced by the promise that its going to make me feel and look sensational!

This shampoo promises to give your hair exceptional softness and shine as well as making it frizz free with the organic silicones. I can also expect really clean hair with the moisturising formula. The shampoo contains Ylang Ylang and sage and all these special and remarkable formulas and ingredients will result in hair which is controlled sleek and elastic. If this happens to my hair it will indeed be a miracle!

      ~~PRODUCT AND PACKAGING~~

The shampoo comes in a rather nice bottle, which is shaped in such a way that it kind of fits in your hand- it tapers towards the centre and then goes out again. Obviously, the logo is on the front and all the information, directions for use and the likes are on the back.

The lid is a press to open type and when I open it up and have a bit of a sniff, there is a very slight smell of something I can't work out- probably the sage and ylang ylang. Anyway, the smell is not over powering but quite fresh smelling, so my senses won't go into overload with the smell.

The shampoo itself is clear and quite thick which suggests to me that a little is going to go quite a long way.

      ~~USING IT~~

Massage a small amount through wet hair, work up a lather and rinse thoroughly. Repeat if necessary, and of course, as with all good marketing, we are advised that best results will be obtained if we use the accompanying conditioner and other Hairomatherapy products.

      ~~PRICE AND AVAILABILITY~~

Costing around £3 for 250ml, this is available from chemists and supermarkets.

      ~~CAUTIONS~~

Keep out of eyes and away from children

There seems to be a product for every hair type as well as a range of styling products.

      ~~VERDICT~~

The shampoo is easy to use and as expected, I got a good lather with very little of the shampoo and very little effort- just as I like it. My hair was left feeling nice and squeaky clean, with a very faint clean smell but nothing over powering. It does leave my hair feeling soft but I didn't notice any sleekness although I don't think this is the fault of the product!

I have been using it with the conditioner and I do notice my hair feels well conditioned but no more so than any other shampoo used in conjunction with a conditioner specifically marketed as a moisture giving product.

Not the best shampoo I have ever used and certainly not the worst, so for anyone particularly liking these products and wanting a bit of moisture in their hair I would recommend it, but not if you want a really deep conditioning.

      Thanks for reading.
