Advantages: Long Cable.
Disadvantages: Most Things!
I brought these over a year ago and as they are a Nicky Clarke product i was expecting them to be good!
On the first use i was quite happy as they made my hair straight, quite smooth, and it looked like my hair was healthy (I use straightners about 5 days a week so pretty damaged hair)
For about 4 - 5 more uses of the straightner my hair was still straight but i noticed it becoming less smooth & healthy looking, even though i use a heat protection spray. I carried on using them but it just made my hair straight but fluffy, static and the straightness wasn't lasting very long.
3 Months after buying them i noticed a loud noise coming from them which was a little strange but it didn't seem to affect the straightner itself so i wasn't to fussed about that.
Because i use straightners alot i didn't use them for a few days to give my hair a break as that could possibly to be the reason why my hair was becoming fluffy after straightning, but when i went back the same thing happened again!
So i decided to go & buy a different straightner which so far after 2 months my hair seems to look alot better!!
The straightner costs £38.16 and it's not worth the money!
Often found half price or save a 1/3 in boots but still save your money & go for something better!
They heat up to 230 degress with 5 heat settings.
The only good thing about the straightner is that it is quite small so easy to take on holiday & the cord is long which is great.
They are black all over, with a red patch on the front with the Nicky Clarke Logo, they do look attractive and even though there black, they are eye-catching in the shop.
They come in a smallish box which is white & red with a picture of the Straightners on the front. Inside is the straightner & instructions.
For a Nicky Clarke product i feel it's not very good at all & won't buy them again.
Summary: Just not a good straightner.

- 28/03/09 I recommend splashing out on some GHD's, or if not then the Babyliss 230'C straighteners! |
