I have had these a few months, and bought them from Argos for around £20. The appearance of them is quite good: they are black and red with black plates. The size is handy as they aren't too big to put in your bag to take travelling. These straighteners go up to 230°c, so I very much doubt the claim "kinder for hair" can be ... I bought these straighteners in the sale at argos, I paid £18.99, but they should have been £38.19, so I thought that they would be decent, especially with the Nicky Clarke brand. i bought mine from Boots during the christmas sales 07 for a good £19.99. theyre quite good, go up to a high tempreture but don't last long. I've only had mine for a bout a year but already the ceramic on the plates has work off meaning i don't get the shiny smooth finish on my hair. instead it comes out a bit static. I brought these over a year ago and as they are a Nicky Clarke product i was expecting them to be good! On the first use i was quite happy as they made my hair straight, quite smooth, and it looked like my hair was healthy (I use straightners about 5 days a week so pretty damaged hair) For about 4 - 5 more uses of the straightner my hair ...
