“ Brand: Nicky Clarke / Type: Conditioner / What it does: Smoothes, „
When it comes to Nicky Clarke stuff I can take it or leave it really. I won't pay over a fiver for the stuff in places like Boots but am happy to pay about a pound in places like Poundland when I see it which is why I ended up owning this product in the first place to be honest with you!
Silver tube with a white frosted flip top opening to the bottom of it concealing a small hole. On the front of the tube I'm told it is Nicky Clarke 'Smooth It Over 60 Second Treat Conditioner For Frizzy Hair'. On the back of the tube I'm told a bit about the product and directions for use are given, ingredients and size is stated and contact details for Nicky Clarke are listed. It's a nice enough easy to use tube and it's informative enough as well.
A Bit About The Product According To The Back Of The Tube:
Smooth it over is all about keeping it straight - no ifs, no buts, no frizz, this range keeps hair sleek and shiny, banishing fly-aways and enhancing condition.
Available in every Nicky Clarke salon, this high shine, intensely moisturising treatment delivers deep conditioning to frizzy hair. Each strand is smoothed and helped to protect it from future heat styling damage to give you a healthy looking result that reduces frizz to a distant memory. So, you get a lustrous curtain of manageable sleek, shiny hair, day after day.
Directions For Use:
Treating your hair to a regular boost of moisture can transform it's condition, so get the most out of this treatment by following a few simple steps. Work a small amount at a time from the roots to the ends of the hair, adding more to the ends if particularly dry. Using a wide-tooth comb, gently comb through and leave to absorb for 60 seconds.
For an even deeper action wrap head in a warm towel or shower cap and leave for 5-10 minutes before rinsing until water runs clear. Then pat dry with a towel, as rubbing will roughen each strand and exaggerate frizz. If your hair is really rebellious you can use this treatment as your regular conditioner after every wash, otherwise once a week should be enough.
Me Using It:
Well using this is really easy and to be honest I find using this once a week well enough on my past shoulder length naughty, frizzed up hair! It doesn't matter whether I leave it on for a minute or longer, wrap my hair in a towel or not I find that any way I use this gives great results time and time again and with ease!
The conditioner is rather thick really but squeezes out of the tube with ease still as it's glossy. It has a none distinctive fruity smell to it which is really pleasant and naturally sweet and all in all I tend to spread about the size of a 10p piece through my hair which I have previously combed or brushed through prior to using the treatment and apply it on to freshly washed and cleaned hair.
It evenly spreads into the hair and absorbs quickly then all you do is wait for it to work! Hair feels softer with this on and then when your ready you rinse it out...which is does with ease.
Incredibly soft and silky hair and once dried (either naturally or with a hair-drier or whatever) hair is left full of life but tamed somewhat. It banishes frizz after using it really, really well and in a way that doesn't feee sticky or that it's weighing it down!
This also helps with the straightening process too and I find after using this my hair not only looks refreshed in the colour stakes (yes I do dye my locks) but it has a lovely natural shine to it, is touchably soft, behaves itself for a damn site longer and the wonderful smell of this stays fresh on my hair for hours too!
A great intensive, easy to use conditioner suitable for men and/or women to use alike and it really does help in a none in your face way at smoothing down hair and making it easier to style the way you want it. I love this one and even at the usual price of about £5.49 (in places such as Boots) I shall buy it again I'm sure!
