Advantages: Effective for relief of itchiness, flakiness and inflammation

Disadvantages: Expensive!

I was prescribed Nizoral Anti-Dandruff Shampoo after going to see the doctor when my scalp became inflamed and flaky. Furthermore, there was a lot of very dry and flaky skin on the back of my neck and aroudn my ears.

I used the shampoo every day for a week as instructed. The doctor told me to allow the Nizoral to run down the back of my neck as the anti-fungal ingredients would aid the dry skin on my neck.

After only one week, the difference was incredible - the itchiness stopped and my scalp became much less inflamed. The flaking of my scalp also improved considerably. However, after this week, I only used it around twice a week and because of this, the condition soon worsened again.

Unfortunately, I was later diagnosed with psoriasis and found that this was the reasoning for the Nizoral not being completely effective. However, I do still use it on a regular basis to relieve itchiness and inflammation.

It is product with which I was very pleased - although slightly expensive it was effective and is really great to use not only on the head but the body as well for dry skin!
