      great hairspray with nourishing olive oil properties :)

      I sometimes get a dry scalp, and although I have a moisturiser for my scalp I don't always get time to use it and this olive oil spray is a great replacement.

      The can is a deep "olive" green with an even darker greener cap. The can I have is 455ml so quite large which can make it awkward to hold but it is still easy to use as a spray which exerts directly onto the hair. The spray has a great blend of vitamin e, olive oil and herbal extracts and as great for all hair textures. Personally my hair is thick and naturally curly and it works great at maintaining my hair. As a root stimulator I do find I don't have particularly damaged roots so can't say whether this repairs my hair but I'm sure it would work great for someone who get's their roots done as it has ingredients to restore the moisture properties to this part of hair.

      I use this by following the given guidelines on the aerosol which is to hold 10-12 inches from my hair if I just want to give all my hair a quick once over so it all glistens and looks fresh out the salon and bouncy! It doesn't feel sticky or clammy or weigh my hair down which is a bonus. When I use it to oil my scalp - usually in a parting - I spray it directly onto my scalp and it prevents flakiness and leaves my scalp supple and not looking dry basically!

      In terms of smell, it does have a distinct olive oil odour but a much more fragrant one so it smells soft and natural although it doesn't linger in my hair which is probably due to me also using other cremes and moisturisers in my hair which I think are more overpowering! Price wise I got my spray for £2.99 in my local hair shop and I've had it well over 4 months now which I think is great value too!

      My brother uses straight olive oil on his hair as it has great nourishing properties and leaves his hair soft and shiny. One of my ex partners also used to use this spray after he got a hair cut (a level one) as it also left his scalp conditioned and he was good to go. Overall I think this product is for everyone, it's not gender specific and can also be used on different hair types so I would definitely recommend it!

        Advantages

        Disadvantages

        Highly recommended

        A lot of my friends have been using various hair oils eg moroccan oil, argan oil and so on since the oils first became popular and I was recommended to use this olive oil spray by one of my friends as she said it's just as good. This is a lot cheaper than the more hyped about hair oils and at just £2.76 per 455ml can of spray it is brilliant value for money. I bought mine from Boots, and as far as I know this is the only high street store which sells it, although it is widely available from a range of online retailers. The spray is described by the manufacturers as a nourishing spray which provides a natural, healthy sheen to dry, thirsty hair.

        I wouldn't describe my hair as being particullary dry and it is not in bad condition at all as I take care of it, however as I straighten my hair daily I do sometimes feel that it looks and feels a little dry, and this spray seemed like the perfect solution. I must admit that this wasn't my first choice; the more exotic sounding moroccan and argan oils were top of my Amazon wishlist and it never even occured to me that olive oil would have the same effect until my friend used some while we were getting ready - I decided to try some out of curiosity and was impressed by the results and my friend said it was definitely worth buying. I was expecting this to be around £8.00 so the very low price tag was a pleasant suprise!

        The olive oil spray comes in quite a large, green aerosol can which reminds me a little of a can of fly poison lol - it is not the most attractively designed can but I am not going to mark it down for this as it's the product inside that counts. The branding on the can is minimal with the product name, brief product description and a picture of a bunch of olives. Near the lid there's a red band which states that the oil is an organic root stimulator. The can has a green plastic lid which pulls and the product is dispensed in a fine mist by pressing down on the plastic nozzle. The spray is free of flourocarbons and alchohol and it is designed to restore the hair's natural moisture balance.

        As well as olive oil, this also has vitamin E and herbal extracts in it. Vitamin E is really nourishing and softening while olive oil is rich in essential fatty acids which keep the hair and scalp moisturised. Using the spray is simple. I apply this to dry hair and make sure that my hair is parted and combed through. I hold the spray at arms length and then apply it all over my hair, making sure that I don't apply too much as if I do it obviously leaves the hair feeling wet, greasy and generally yucky! When applied sparingly and rubbed in thoroughly though this has a noticeable effect on my hair - it instantly feels softer and silkier, and after a few months of using it 2-3 times a week, my hair is much healthier in appearence.

        The texture has improved too; it feels silky and it has a nice natural looking glossy shine. I've not had any issues with this flaking/being sticky/leaving residue etc. My hair feels really well cared for and although I can't really tell, my scalp is probably in better condition too. The spray has an unusual but nice smell - it's hard to describe. The smell doesn't linger for long at all and it is a unisex smell so men can use this too without being put off as it doesn't smell sweet or floral. I find that this is quick and easy to apply due to the spray mechanism and my hands don't get greasy when rubbing it in to my hair. As long as I don't apply too much it never leaves my hair feeling or looking moist or greasy.

        Overall, I highly recommend this product.

          Advantages

          Disadvantages

          good for dry hair.

          Olive Oil Nourishing Sheen Spray is a hair spray that provides natural healthy sheen to dry, thirsty hair. The reason for me purchasing this spray was that my hair was becoming very dry and I decided to get something new that would be better for my hair and the shop worker told me this spray would be good for my hair and they were right.

          ------------My Experience With The Spray------------
          I have been using the spray for a couple of months now and I see a very good difference that it has made to my hair. At first when I started using it I didn't really use it as my main treatment for my hair. I used to thoroughly use oil hair oil by parting my hair and oiling my scalp in order to keep my scalp moist. Then after doing that every every couple of days I would every morning just spray over my hair not as thorough with the olive oil spray. I noticed that when using this spray the way I was everyday my hair was becoming way to moist and becoming heavy and felt like it was clogging up very quickly. Although to resolve this I could just wash my hair more often but being black over washing my hair often result in my hair becoming dry and brittle because of it's texture.
          After re-thinking the routine and after watching a few YouTube videos on how other use the spray I decided to change how I was using the spray. I decided to then only use the spray every 3 days by parting my hair and spraying and once I have finished massaging the oil into my scalp. I have noticed that my roots have become much smoother than they where before by doing this method. I have also noticed that my hair is not dry or oily and doing this method has allowed me to not oil my hair as much allowing me to not oil my hair as my and making my hair has a glossy glow to it. When parting my hair and spraying this spray I usually spray it at least 6 or 7 cm away from my head because if you get to close you hair will be much to oily which is quite suffering for my hair. Along with the sheen spay and this method I do use another hair oil once or twice a week to give my hair that extra strength.

          --------------Product Quality & Smell----------
          The spray is a little on the thick side which at first I didn't like because it was making my hair over greasy but after learning how to use it efficiently it is a good thing because you only need to use a little because of it being a little thicker rather to thin and lack substance. The product I feel is very good quality because using very little keeps your hair moist for a few days and that also makes doing my hair less hassle as I have to do it less often. The spray is organic which adds to the overall quality of the spray.
          I don't know if it's just me but the spray doesn't really carry that strong of a smell and the smell it does have usually fades within an hour of applying it to my hair. I think it would of me nice for it to have a stronger and longer lasting smell to it as I like when my hair smells nice.

          --------Ingredients & Packaging---------
          Light Mineral Oil, Isobutane, Olive Oil, Vegetable Oil , Lanolin Oil, Tocopherol Vitamin E, Extracts of Aloe Vera, Horsetail, Nettle, Chamomile, Dimethicone Copolyol , Myristyl Myristate, Propyl Paraben, Fragrant Oils, Hexyl Cinnamic Aldehyde, Lilial, D'Limonene, Linalool, Lyral, Alpha Iso Methyl Ionone.

          The packaging is a very bright green tin with a darker green lid that makes it stand out when in stores. Before I started using this product it had always caught my eye but just never brought it. The can has a 10-12 inch hold and my hands are quite small so for me the can is a little on the big side.

          ----------Price-----------
          I pay £3.49 from my local hair shop and I think this is definitely a excellent price because it lasts me a month and a half at minimum for a 455ml bottle.

          Overall I think the spray is very good and if you buy it my advice it to have a look at some of the videos on YouTube to get the best usage of it. My advice is use every few days and spray lightly then you will definitely be on the way to more moist, glossy and stronger hair.

          Disadvantages

          Helps your hair look good

          == Organic Root Stimulator Olive Oil Nourishing Sheen Spray==

          My hair is dark and looks very beautiful when I pay attention to it. It responds very well to pampering and I believe a good hair style accentuates how you look and can be a confidence booster. When you look good, you feel good as well and can carry yourself with your head held high.

          I usually shampoo my hair and massage my scalp most of the time. I also blow dry and straighten my hair frequently at least once a week just to make it manageable. Once in a while time and money permitting I do visit the hair salon for a cut and more up to date styling. The problem now is that I often don't have both time and money to do so except maybe sacrificing for special occasions.

          I have been very busy in the last few months and haven't given my hair as much attention as I would have liked. Recently I noticed a few strands of off colour (grey) hairs which came more as a shock, nothing to do with age, just hereditary, I hoped! I felt really terrible as I later realised this could be a sign of my hair getting tired and I was determined to invigorate my hair once again.

          I visited a hair dresser who recommended that I use Organic Root Stimulator Olive Oil hair products. To demonstrate she used the products from shampoo to hair spray on my hair that day and I could not believe the difference it made to the general appearance of my hair. After this I really wanted to know why she had recommended these products and later discovered that Organic Root Stimulator Olive Oil products are considered very good for nourishing, restoring moisture balance and root stimulation for weak and damaged hair.

          Amongst the various products I tried, I was particularly impressed by the end results after using Organic Root Stimulator Olive Oil Nourishing Sheen Spray.

          According to the manufacturer, Organic Root Stimulator Olive Oil Nourishing Sheen Spray provides a natural, healthy sheen to dry, thirsty hair.

          ==Availability, price and visibility==

          The spray is available from most shops which stock hair and beauty products and from chemists including Boots. I bought mine from Boots pharmacy at £2.76 for 472 ml which translates to 59 pence/100 ml.

          The hair spray comes in a light green metal can with a white plastic spray nozzle and dark green plastic lid. The product is clearly visible amongst other hair sprays and has the name and images of olives clearly printed in large font on the front of the can.

          ==Directions for use==

          In my search for better understanding of this spray, I soon learnt that the hair spray provides hair with heat protection during blow drying or straightening as well in addition to the nourishment and root stimulation. So I normally partition my hair and spray directly onto the scalp followed by a thorough massage for the nourishment and root stimulation. This process also spreads the oil onto the hair as well. I now do this every time before I blow dry or straighten my hair as recommended.

          The sheen can be sprayed directly onto the hair after styling. In this case, it is recommended that you hold the can 10-20 cm from the hair and spray lightly just to give the hair a health and shiny finish.

          It would not recommended use the spray every day as this may clog the scalp pores and also make the hair too oily. I use it once or twice in a week with at least 3 to 4 day interval.

          The can and the plastic components can all be recycled using the recycling facilities available in the UK.

          ==Appearance and Smell==

          The oil is colourless and fairly thin hence sprays well and does not suffer from the usual problem with most prays, clogging of the nozzle. Because it is thin, the oil only needs to be sprayed sparingly and it spreads out easily so it is easy to spread during massaging without much effort as with some hair sprays. A little puff spreads out to cover a big surface area. Because of the efficiency of the spray, there is no wastage so it tends to last long. My 472 ml can lasts me 8 - 12 weeks giving me real value for money.

          The smell is so good, typical olive oil smell mixed with some fragrances. It makes my hair smell good all day long.

          ==My views==

          I have noticed a major change in my hair ever since I started using the Olive oil spray. I have been using this product for almost 5 months now. My hair which was once looking tired now feels soft and looks shiny and healthy. Olive oil hair spray has really given my hair a new lease of life.

          Here is an extract from the product web site to give you an oversight of the product.

          "For over 5000 years, olive oil has been used as a healing elixir to restore new life to anything it touched. Proclaimed as 'liquid gold', olive oil is rich in essential fatty acids that impart moisture directly to the hair and scalp. With consistent use, olive oil has historically been known to improve elasticity and hydration in hair. Organic Root Stimulator Olive Oil Sheen Spray is a non-greasy sheen enhancer created to restore the hair's natural moisture balance. A blend of vitamin E, olive oil and herbal extracts provide new life to all hair textures. This product is free of flouro-carbons and drying alcohols. Won't fog or bead like other sheen sprays."

          Additional information can be found on the manufacturer's link at: http://www.organicrootstimulator.com/products/23

          This sums it all and my hair testifies the goodness of this product so I give it a rating of 5 stars.
