As some of you will know I usually stick to designer haircare products. This isn't because I am a snob, but the products I have tried have impressed me and I have stuck with them - so how did I end up trying Organics? A few months ago our shower broke, well actually water was dripping inside over the cables so we steered clear of it, because if I didn't I don't think I would be alive today. So I had to wash my hair in the bath using a cheap shower attatchment on the bath taps. While washing my hair this way I tended to use slightly more shampoo than normal and not wanting to waste my normal product I picked up this one. I had heard good things about it and also since it is a 2 in 1 I was all for it as it saved me using 2 products when I could use this and get the same job done. So I used this for weeks. I like my hair so I always make sure I get all the soap out and it is clean. People were commenting that my hair looked duller and slightly lifeless, but I thought that was because I changed my product and also my hair could have done with a trim. So I went to the hairdresser and went to get my hair washed. After it was washed my hairdresser said there seemed to be a problem with my hair. Since I always get the same hairdresser she asked if I had used anything different from the last time I was in. I mentioned that I had used Organics 2 in 1 and that was what the problem was. It took the hairdresser 4 washes to get all the build up this product had left in my hair. Obviously I never used this shampoo again. After the build up had been washed out my hair was back to being shiny and nice again. I would never use this again. The information about this shampoo is that it was a 250ml bottle. I do like the shape of the bottle. It's not square or angular, but smooth and circular. The bottle is light green and has a flip top lid. I do like the smell - sort of flowery and a soft, clean smell. It costs about
£2 per bottle as well. Perhaps my argument is pretty one sided, but when something does that to your hair when it is meant to do the opposite, then what could I honestly say? For all I know I might have been the only person with this problem, then again who is to say I am not alone?

- 16/11/01 useful opinion lets of info,This product like fructis, pantene, elvive and some others, contains, dimethico ne or dimethicon-copolymer which build up after a short time my advice is avoid products with this in and can take least seven weeks up clear the build up.Use vosene build up remover at least once a month to keep your hair free of build up from this and styling products etc,I used this and it really does clear the build up!. |

- 16/11/01 I use pantene 2 in 1, I think the 2 in 1'ss work better on mens hair(or so various women have told me!) No build up that I have noticed, which is a shame cos my hair is very fine and flyaway! |

- 16/11/01 My cousin is an hairdresser and she tells me not to use a lot of these panten shampoo's as they put a thick coating on your hair, it is meant to help make it thicker!!! |
