      Advantages

      Disadvantages

Ok as a leave in product for when airdrying curly/wavy hair but nothing to get excited about

Why did i purchase this and how much?

Well if I'm totally honest I had one of those moments in Boots where as soon as I entered the store I couldn't for the life of me remember what I went in for so wandered over to the haircare section and randomly purchased the foam because of the scent and the 'sulphate free' label. The mousse comes in a 237ml white plastic bottle with a gold pump and clear top so you can pack it in your bag without fear of it foaming up your things. The mousse wasn't on offer when I purchased it so I spent £5.99 which isn't too bad as the bottle seems to last an age.

What is the product? and What does it do?

This mousse is from the Organix coconut range and is labelled as organic and sulphate free which was something that appealed to me. The mousse contains organic coconut milk and whipped egg white
proteins although I do ask the question has anyone heard of a GM coconut? The company claims that the mousse will moisturise, nourish the hair without build up which is frequently what I look for in a product.

      Did it work?

Well I've tried this product on multiple occasions and have found that it works best as a leave in foam for curly hair. The texture is rather runny which is helpful in distributing through the lengths of my hair but i have to work quickly otherwise it can build up in areas. Once I've washed my long hair I tend to pump about 5-6 pumps of this mousse into my hair, comb through, then scrunch and then leave to dry and it always leaves my hair soft, bouncy with no residue and gives my lazy curls/waves great definition. Unfortunately this product doesn't perform all that well when I blow dry my hair and seems to leave my hair looking, well...'Matt' and my hair is also left lank and lifeless which means I have to wash more frequently. I tried varying the amount of product thinking maybe I need to use less for straightening but still this product doesn't do anything positive for my hair. The coconut scent of this product lasts well when I let my hair air-dry but this unfortunately isn't the case when I blow-dry so have given up on using this product for anything other than airdried styles.

      Would I recommend this product?

Well to be honest it's ok for curls/waves but there are products that perform just as well for a lower price out there. I will try my best to use up this product but wouldn't go out and purchase it again and after reading some of the other reviews out there about the other organix coconut products I probably would avoid the whole range in future.
