Advantages: Georgous scent, Effective results

Disadvantages: One of the Pricier shampoos unless you can find a cheep outlet.

According to the write up on the back of the bottle the Original Source range of products are inspired by the bush remedies of Ellen Wakeman.

Ellen, a missionaries daughter, made her living shaving the beards and pulling the teeth of prospectors during the Australian goldrush learning a little something about the healing potential of the plants that grew in the surrounding bush along the way.

The shampoo comes in 300ml bottles, is a vivid green colour and when you squirt and little into your hand you are immediately hit by the smell of mint. The scent is quite strong and sweet and it's a little like washing your hair in mint imperials. I have quite sensitive skin and usually use children's shampoos but I have not had any adverse reactions to the shampoo.

For best effect apply the desired amount to the hair and massage into a lather, then leave it for a up to a minute and you will feel a tingly, cooling and very refreshing sensation all over your skull. When I first used the product I didn't know this was supposed to happen and thought my skin was reacting badly, but in a quite pleasant, non burning kind of way (it's very hard to describe) after reading the bottle my fears were allayed. As for getting it in your eyes it didn't sting at all, it just made my eye cold.

I didn't need to use conditioner and I was left soft, clean, shiny hair and after using the shampoo for a couple of weeks now I'm still getting the same results.

Original source also makes: conditioner; Bath foam; Shower and shaving gels and perfume, in mint, orange, lemon and also tea tree. I have yet to try them.

The price online is £2.99 although I bought it cheaper in a discount shop. Free samples can be obtained from the website if you'd like to try before you buy, but you do need to register.

I love the Original Source products especially the shower gels. Unfortunately at the rate I go through a bottle of shower gel, £2.49 is just a bit expensive!

Now I personally like that tingly feeling - makes my hair feel cleaner! Might have to try this - I use Te Tao myself.
