Advantages: leaves my hair squeaky clean, It was free

Disadvantages: the smell, ergh!!

Whey hey, I'm back. Somebody off here wrote about Ebay, then I got hooked for about three months.
I've nothing left in my house now, lol.
Anyway Happy New Year and off we go.

As everybody seems to know, Original Source have been giving away loads of samples to test their products lately, but before I had the chance to try them, somebody had let me have a bottle of Eucalyptus and Mint Shampoo in a full size 300ml.
I had forgotten all about it until I sent off for the samples and proceeded to try them all.
I quite liked some of them, so that's when I proceeded to dig out this bottle from the bathroom cupboard and have a go.

Everyday I wear quite a lot of hairspray and back comb it and abuse my hair, so I needed something to get the rubbish out of my hair.
Maybe this was the perfect thing, as I'm sure even the smell could frighten off all the nasty chemicals sat in my hair.
You can smell the Mint as soon as you open the bottle, it's strange really, you are never sure whether to pour it on your hair, or eat it.
I wasn't sure whether my sensitive scalp could take it, as I remember using something similar, and all it did was tingle my head.
As for the colour, it's a very vivid Green, rather like what the Incredible Hulk would use. Oh well, here goes.

*APPLICATION*

All you need is a small amount of this shampoo, I just applied it from my hand and massaged into my scalp. Boy does it tingle!!. It's not unpleasant, but I'm still not sure about the aroma, it does become even stronger on release to your hair.
Bloody hell, never mind Wrigleys, I'm smelling more like a Trebor Mint now.
My hubbie runs in, and says what's that awful smell. Oh well, don't think he'll be using it then.

*RESULTS*

Well I must say, my hair squeaked when I rinsed it. That's a sure sign that it's perfectly clean to me.
It combed through very easily,
even without applying much conditioner.
My hair was still tingling, and even my face was. It's a real weird feeling, like on the bottle it says "A Zingy , never felt before experience". I can vouch for that, it is something different, but I wouldn't like to use it too regular. Every now and then is ok. Maybe if I used it regular, then I will get over the shock, as it's so different to my normal shampoo.

*A BIT OF INFO*

The range of haircare products for Original Source was inspired by the bush remedies of Ellen Wakeman, she was the daughter of missionaries who lived in new South Wales. She disgraced her family when she ran away to join the Australian Gold Rush in 1857, and then met a barber who she pursuaded to give her a job. When she was learning to shave whiskers, she discovered the healing powers of plants which grow in the outback and that's how the ingredients came to light in the Original Source range.

*INGREDIENTS*

Aqua, Sodium Laureth Sulfate, Cocamide, Eucalyptus Oil, Peppermint Oil, Citric Acid, to mention just a few.
It's not tested on animals, and uses only Natural Oils.

I have seen Original Source in many shops, but mostly, Boots, and Superdrug.
I think it's priced at £2.99.

*Will I be buying it again?*

Not sure on that one. I do prefer nicer smelling shampoos, but then it did leave my hair free from all that build up which hair gel and hairspray leaves you with. It was particularly kind as I do have dry/damaged hair, and this was ideal for that, as it can be used for frequent users.

I'll leave you wondering on that one:)

HAPPY NEW YEAR AGAIN. XXX

*eep* It sounded like a really strong shampoo if it could make your hair squeak. And yet you say it was kind on your dry hair. Hmm...

Okay, I'm tempted to try this one out. Sounds like a 'scentillating' experience. =p What an entertaining op on shampoo!
