Advantages: the scent for those that like mint, soft hair, non-greasy

Disadvantages: dull hair, left my hair a bit dry

Yes, another Original Source review, and yes, I am reviewing another one of their free samples that they?re giving away at the moment. Firstly I would just like to clarify that I am reviewing the Tea Tree & Mint Conditioner, bizarrely Dooyoo have put a picture of Original Source?s Tea Tree & Lavender Conditioner under this title but the appearance is very similar, except the Tea Tree & Mint conditioner is a pale green colour.

For those of you who don?t already know, Original Source are currently giving away three free samples to everyone who requests them, they?re such generous folk aren?t they? You can also get another free sample simply by watching a short advert and then filling out the online form. To get your free samples you simply register providing some basic info and then select the sample you?d like to receive. After each one has been sent you receive an e-mail containing a link which you follow to provide feedback and you can then select your desired sample from a choice of eight.

I decided to go for the Tea Tree & Mint conditioner. I?ve tried a couple of the Original Source shower gels and a shampoo but never the conditioners before so I thought that this was the ideal opportunity to try before you buy!

The conditioner comes in a mini bottle, an exact replica of the larger bottle. The packaging is bold and fairly unisex so if men feel they need to use a conditioner then there?d be no shame in purchasing this one! The conditioner itself is a pale green colour with a refreshing minty smell. For those of you who?ve tried the Tea Tree & Mint shower gel you?ll know just how strong the scent is, the conditioner isn?t quite such an intense smell but it?s still fairly minty.

When I used this on my hair in the shower it smelt very fresh and minty.
4;he consistency was about average really. It is thicker than cheap conditioner but not as thick as specialist hair care brands. After drying my hair it still smelt faintly of mint, it?s quite a refreshing smell really, not something I?d use on my hair normally but it would be good for greasier hair types.

The essential oils that Original Source use in all their products are supposed to make hair shiny but to be honest I was a little disappointed with this one. I found my hair actually looked quite dull really.

I will admit that I do need a haircut quite badly at the moment but my hair?s not in terrible condition by any means, I?ve found that usually by using the right shampoo and a good quality conditioner I can ensure my hair appears almost as good as just after it?s been cut.

However after using this conditioner I thought it was more noticeable that I had a few split ends and the full length of my hair (I have long hair) did not appear shiny, it just looked dull. The ends felt a little dry but as I said my hair does need cutting.

On the positive side though my hair did feel soft after using the conditioner and I could get a brush through it easily. Also as promised the conditioner is not at all greasy and is actually quite light.

Overall I thought this conditioner was rather mediocre and for the same price there are other more suitable products on the market for my hair which I would choose over this one. It?s not a bad product and I should think it?s a suitable product for greasy hair types.

I do not think I would choose to purchase this as there are other conditioners that I prefer but I would highly recommend you check out some of Original Source?s other samples at their website www.originalsource.co.uk

Their products use natural essential oils rather than synth
etic fragrances, are suitable for vegetarians and vegans, and are not tested on animals.

Thanks for reading!

I use this occasionally and it does it's job reasonably well but it's not the best I've tried! x

My hubby uses the mint shave gel. The mint is so strong that I don't know how he can have it so near to his eyes without them stinging!

I never use conditioner, it makes my hair go greasy too quickly
