Advantages: lovely smell

Disadvantages: gives me spots, almost impossible to wash out

I'm a great fan of original source products, I've loved everything I've tried from them so I was delighted when I saw the white pear and avocado shampoo and conditioner in poundland, almost half the price I would expect to pay.

I like the fact that original source make their shampoos with the flip lid on the top and the conditioner with the flip lid on the bottom of the bottles so you dont get confused when grabbing for the bottles.

The conditioner is very thick white colour and like all original source products smells lovely. It is a subtle fruity smell, you can definitely smell the pears but not the avocado and it is not too sweet like fruity products often are. The conditioner is very thick and comes out with a splat, I've just put some on my finger and it feels really greasy and oily to the touch.

I used it at first with the matching shampoo and found it almost impossible to rinse out. I spent ages with the shower head a couple of inches away from my head massaging my hair and rinsing through.

Even though I had rinsed thoroughly it left my very long hair feeling weighed down and looking a bit dull after I had used it and made it look a bit lank and greasy.

I kept having to use this conditioner because I kept putting my other bottles into my swimming bag and taking them to the pool and forgetting to put them back into the bathroom. I noticed my cheeks getting spotty from where my hair was brushing against them and the spots disappeared when I changed my conditioner to something lighter.

I had to use this conditioner one last time last week when I'd ran out of my simple conditioner, by then I had my hair cut a lot shorter. It didn't weigh my hair down in the same way but I noticed my cheeks feeling greasy again.

The conditioner says it is for normal/stressed hair. Maybe the problem is that my hair is just too healthy for it and it might work better for someone who has really dry hair and needs a more intensive conditioner than I do.

Summary: Will be avoiding this one

Sounds like an allergy to one of the ingredients.

Stressed hair? What on earth is that supposed to mean?! What a shame this wasn't as good as the smell :(
