      Disadvantages

      All round lovely product

I received this hair treatment in a Glossy box months ago but I have been putting off using it for all that time. Why? You might wonder. And the reason is, I absolutely hate the thought of putting anything oily in my hair. It might seem strange but because my hair is quite thin I worry about products 'clinging' to it and making it looks greasy and flat. However I decided to bite the bullet and give it a go.

The oil has a lovely smell to it, quite sweet but not too sickly. It kind of reminds me of the cola bottle sweets. When I poured it into my hands I was quite surprised as it was a thicker consistency to what I had imagined. I do not use hair products like this when my hair is dry just because of personal preference so I tried this on damp hair. I distributed it through my hair and it glided effortlessly through. I then combed it through with my absolutely massive pink comb that I picked up from Wilkinson's.

To my surprise my hair did not knot at all. My thoughts of using oil on my hair along with the sweet smell had conjured up an idea of a knotty mess in my mind however the comb just swept through my hair with ease.

I then began to dry. When I was drying my hair the brush was brushing through seamlessly as if there was no product in my hair at all.

The results were fabulous. At the moment the ends of my hair are quite dry, my own fault I need to get my hair cut. Anyway, my hair felt so soft from root to tip. And it looked healthier, more nourished and glossy. My dry ends even looked and felt better.

Another reason I love this product is that the scent lasts on your hair for a long time and it smells lovely.
After using this product I don't know what I was so worried about. I love the results and even though I got this one in a Glossy box I would buy it again. At around £6.00 for 10ml I think it is a pretty good price considering I think the bottle will last quite a long time.

A great hair oil and at that price it is worth trying out!

Osmo Berber Oil with Argan Oil - Hair Oil

I received this product in a beauty box quite a few months ago so it was probably in a Glossy Box. I received a 10ml bottle which is made out of glass and I probably wouldn't have bought this if it wasn't in the beauty box but it is a great product, in my opinion.

        - Product description (from feelunique.co.uk)

"Hair rehab...keep with the program. A luxurious, intensely nourishing Argan Oil infused hair treatment designed to breathe new life into tired, dull, lack lustre locks."

        - About the product, claims and packaging

I received this product in a beauty box a while ago (maybe a Glossy Box) and I have the 10ml glass bottle of this product and this product is available to buy in this small trial/travel size which is great. The products claims to speed up drying time of your hair, increase sleekness/shine, hydrate the hair, protect against UV rays and heat, strengthen and repair the hair for noticeable, more manageable results! That is a lot of claims - too many, in my opinion. This hair oil can be used on damp or dry hair and I use it both ways and it is suitable for all hair types.

        - Using the product and results

The first thing I notice about the product, apart from the nice glass bottle, is the scent. I have tried a few hair oils and they don't tend to smell very nice but this hair oil smells like strawberry sweets - in particular strawberry shoelaces! The scent is really nice in my opinion, although I think some people will find the scent too sweet and sickly. I have been using this product on my hair when it is damp and when it is dry and I have also been using a good amount of this as a kind of oil treatment too. To use on damp hair I just dispense a small amount (and I mean a small amount) onto the palm of my hand. I then rub my hands together to distribute the oil fairly evenly, then I apply it to the ends and midlengths of my hair - I do not apply this to the roots as it will made my hair greasy if I do. I find that I do not need to use a lot of this product each time I use it and I tend to use less when my hair Is damp as I find that it can make my hair more greasy for some reason.

I find that this product helps to smooth and detangle my damp hair and in the morning my hair will be a smoother, softer and more manageable than it would have otherwise been. On dry hair I again only use a small amount as if you use even a small amount more than you need to it could make your hair greasy and or weighed down. I only use this product on the ends and some of the midlengths on dry hair and I find that again this product makes my hair smoother, sleeker, softer and more manageable when compared to my hair before I applied the hair oil. The scent of this product also transfers slightly to my hair which I like as I do really like the sweet strawberry scent but the scent doesn't last long at all.

Finally I have been using this product as a kind of hair oil treatment. I apply a good amount of this product to the ends, midlengths and some to the roots and I run it into my hair gently - I apply the product in the morning, tie my hair up in a bun then wash it out in the evening and I find my hair is smoother, detangled (in part) and softer after dry again. I then to use this all three ways fairly often and I really do like this product - the scent is great and it works fantastically well on my dry, colour treated (long, fairly thick) hair. Although I find that if I apply even a little bit too much then my hair can feel a bit greasy and weighed down; also I find that this product has far too many claims to try to live up to and it doesn't fulfil all of the claims, in my opinion. For example, I don't think this product really speeds up the drying time of my hair and I am not too sure whether it really strengthens my hair but overall it is the best hair oil I have tried - although I have yet to try the more expensive hair oils.

        - Price and availability

I received this in a beauty box but it can be bought online for £5.90 for 10ml from feelunique.co.uk which doesn't sound like a lot of product for your money but you really only need a small amount and this one 10ml bottle has lasted me quite a while! This product is fairly widely available online and it is available on amazon.co.uk for £2.29 with free delivery (as of 10/11/2012). Overall, a great hair oil at a fantastic price - well worth trying!

        Conclusions

        Positives

        *Cheap and widely available online
*Smells really nice - which most hair oils don't
*Works well overall - smoothes, softens, detangles, hydrates and it makes my hair more manageable

        Negatives

*Can make my hair greasy if I use a little bit too much
*Doesn't get rid of all frizz and I don't think it really help dry time that much
        *Too many claims!

Thank you for reading my review

          Advantages

          Disadvantages

great looking hair which is touchably soft

I received a 10ml sample of this through glossybox - only one word for it - wow.

You can use the product in two ways.

          1. After washing your hair, you can use a very small amount through damp hair, you then style your hair as normal.

          2. You can use a small amount on dry hair after styling.

The product itself is a pink sort of colour but has a luscious, sweet smell which is good enough to eat. My 10ml bottle lasted ages as you really do need the smallest amount.

The product claims to cut down on the drying time of your hair, and I would say this is an accurate description as I feel like I have the hair dryer in my hand for a shorter amount of time.

After using this product, my hair is silky and condiitioned and I don't want to stop touching it. Its also great for using if you intend to straighten your hair when dried as it gives it a professional looking finish to the hair.

Once I'd run out of the 10ml bottle I just had to order a full size product.

          Advantages

          Disadvantages

Hair oil can be used on greasy hair - just make sure you're not too generous with how much you use!

I recently received a 10ml sample bottle of Osmo's Berber Oil Hair Treatment (with Argan Oil) For those of you in the know you'll be aware that Argan Oil is the new(ish) 'in' thing when it comes to beauty products. It's is high in Vitamin E and is thought to nourish skin and leave hair shiny and healthy. This treatment is for hair only though, don't be trying to use it as a face mask!

The bottle is brown glass, so you can see exactly how much of the product you have left. The lid is a screw top, and the liquid just pours out. No pumps on this (though I think you can buy this product in a pump bottle for easier use) I found the consistency of this to be quite a thick liquid, so it's relatively simple to pour the right amount onto your hand without using too much.

The smell is very, very sweet. Almost a mixture of gummy sweets, cherries and banana. It sounds strange, but I really love the smell, and it lingers in your hair for a few hours after use. I definitely think it's a love it or hate it scent though.

I was initially pretty worried about using this product as I have quite oily hair to begin with and the thought of adding more oil to it was worrying. But in the name of research I applied a small amount to my wet hair. The claim that this oil reduces drying time is true. After applying it my hair took about 30% less time to dry - hurrah! It's like magic. Also it didn't leave my hair oily at all, in fact my hair was soft and shiny, with a little bit of an extra bounce (which is great if you have greasy hair - a little volume is like a miracle)

I have not applied this to dry hair yet. It's supposed to tame flyaway hair and make frizz more manageable. I just think on dry hair it really would be too much oil. There is also a claim that it helps to protect against UV, but I can't vouch for this one way or the other. We never see much sun in Scotland!

The RRP for a full size 100ml bottle of thisis £19.99, but shopping around I found it for as low as £12 including P&P at http://www.myhairandbeauty.co.uk. However I cannot vouch for this site, as I have never used it before. It can be a tad pricey, but you only need a tiny bit for it to make a difference to your hair. I only use about a 10p sized amount on my wet hair (shoulder length) and it works a treat. At the rate I'm going the 10ml bottle will last about 11 or 12 applications, so 100ml should last a long time.

Overall I am pleasantly surprised by this hair treatment. I will consider buying it when my sample runs out even though I'd not normally spend this kind of money on a hair product (I'm a 'buy what's on offer' kind of girl usually) The little bit of extra volume it gave to my usually flat hair is what really sells me on Osmo's Berber Oil.
