The salon that I work in is going crazy at the minute for osmo products as we have just changed over from Schwarzkopf and are testing some new products to use. The first product in the osmo range was the intensive treatment which was a huge hit with the staff and the customers so we decided to order in the osmo shampoo and conditioner too. When phoning the wholesalers before Christmas I was advised that they had special osmo gift sets in so I chose the moisturising set where I got the shampoo, conditioner and a leave in conditioner for £6.00. It also came in a lovely zip up plastic coloured bag.
The deep conditioner comes in a bright yellow bottle that would definitely stand out on the shelf. It has no patterns on it but the yellow colour makes it stand out and look interesting. I chose the moisturising conditioner as my hair suffers from dry ends and needs a bit of TLC now and again from all the bleaching and colouring as well as daily drying and straightening abuse.
The osmo conditioner is white in colour and has a medium constituency. The scent is fresh and contains essential oils, ylang ylang and patchouli. The conditioner detangles the hair almost immediately as soon as you apply you can feel the hair begin to de-tangle and when rinsing the hair feels smooth and tat free. I love how you can feel instant results with this conditioner. I also love how light it is as you don't have to rinse for ages to make sure the entire product is gone.
After using this conditioner hair feels completely smoothed and you can get the comb through with now problems at all. Drying is also easy as the brush slides through. I have used all of my 280ml bottle now but I already have some more on order.I am so happy with this and i really feel a difference to my hair, it feels a lot stronger. I would definitely recommend this and most hairdresser will be happy to order this in for you, if not you can purchase this stuff online with the rest of the osmo essence range.
I use a lot of heat products on my hair like the hairdryer for quickness and the straightners to be rid of my afro after the hairdryer has taken effect which means that my hair pretty dry and not in the best condition because I don't always use heat protection sprays. I bought this to help moisturise and improve the condition of my hair, paticularly the slightly frazzled ends. I try a variety of shampoos and conditioners and came accross this one from the hairdressers where I have my hair cut because she recommended it and it was £7 which I thought was expensive for 280ml, but I did think it would work so thought it would be worth the try.
I bought the conditioner but didn't bother with the shampoo as well. I didn't intend on spending £14 on hair products for myself and always have a tendency to mix and match with my hair products anyway.
The bottle is bright yellow with purple writing so on the shelf, it certainly catches your eye aside the slightly bland other bottles. The thin nozzled lid allows you to get a small amount out which I thought was good because I didn't want to waste it.
After looking in ASDA and Tesco, I went back to the salon and asked where else I could buy the product ( because I thought she was charging a bit much for it ) and she said you can only get it in salons and on beauty and hair websites. You can probably find it on ebay and amazon at a lower price too.
The shampoo has a pleasent, slightly fruity smell which isn't very strong which I think makes it a little more expensive feeling because cheaper shampoos tend to smell a lot stronger don't they? The shampoo itself is a pearly white colour which again I think makes it look like better quality than if it were bright blue.
So, the conditioner claims to strengthen dry, damaged and stressed hair. Does it work?
I washed my hair with a treseme shampoo as normal, wet hair, apply shampoo, scrub and rinse. I then made sure my hair was nice and wet before aplying a walnut sized amount of the conditioner generously allover my hair. I gave it a thorough scurb from roots to tips before brushing it through my hair with the hairbrush. I left it for a few minutes which is what I always do with conditioners and then used warm water to rinse it off.
I found that the conditioner didn't want to stick to my hair like some do. It came out pretty easily and as I rinsed it out my hair already felt softer.
Drying my hair felt easier because my hair felt softer so was easier to brush. Not drastically, but a little. After my hair was dry and straight, it looked really nice. It had a good shine to it and it felt replenished. I completely agreed with the conditioner, it felt softer and better than it has in years. You know when you come out of the hairdressers and you hair feels stunning, that was how I felt. My hair had a subtly smell of the conditioner to it but not much.
Overall, this is a salon quality condtioner that I would recommend and would buy again. It would be better if it was easier to find and buy, but it isn't too exclusive to find. It is a little pricey but the results are well worth it in my opinion. I am glad I bought it and would use it again.
Normally I would say I have dry, damaged hair as I am forever blow-drying and using my GHD's, I also don't use a conditioning mask as often as I should (slap my wrist). My hair type is thick and wavy (so I rely on my GHD's a lot). That is why I bought this conditioner to bring some life back into my hair and moisture of course.
I bought the conditioner with the shampoo so both products can work in harmony together. I also believe products are designed to work alongside one another and isn't a marketing hype as people think, saying that you can mix and change products and get just as good results, just as long there good products with good ingredients.
Osmo range is a salon brand and you won't find this brand on your high street, you can find this range on eBay, local salons who stock Osmo, mobile hairdressers or salon hair websites.
The size I got is 280ml for just over £6; the plastic bottle is bright yellow with purple writing. The packaging defiantly stands out at you.
It has a shelf life of 12 months (unlike the shampoo that has a shelf life of 18 months), and the bottle can be recycled.
It is hard to describe the smell of this conditioner but you can smell the essential oils, it smells fresh and a little fruity/sweet but I would say it is a unisex product to use.
The texture of this is very light to the touch it is white in colour.
Osmo Deep Moisturising Conditioner is a brilliant moisture boost for your hair, every time you wash your hair. This conditioner helps to strengthen dry, damaged and stressed hair. As the shampoo this conditioner has essential oils including Patchouli and Ylang Ylang, these ingredients aren't something I see in other conditioners on the market.
When you have washed out the shampoo you then apply the conditioner, you only need a bit as it is concentrated, so a lot will go a long way.
Straight away you can smell the fragrance, while massaging it through your hair it, making sure you concentrate on the ends.
While you are massaging it through your hair you can feel your hair getting soften and more nourished.
This product is easy to rinse out with no residue left, leaving you with very nourished hair. Pat your hair dry with a towel (no rubbing as this can cause breakages) and comb through with a wide tooth comb.
Straight away I could see and feel my hair felt softer. When I had finished blow drying my hair it felt so soft and I could still smell the fragrance, my hair looked shiny and was more manageable. After straightening my hair, which didn't take long, my hair felt soft, silky, manageable, and shiny and I could definitely see moisture back in my hair and ready to take on the stresses of the day, to my hair. I could smell the fragrance all day and my hair didn't look or feel weighed down. It looked full of life with bounce back, looking like I had very healthy hair, not dry or damaged anymore.
After every wash I have been very impressed with how this conditioner has performed. I have read other reviews from other sites regarding this product and they haven't rated it that well. Personally I love it and I will be repurchasing again in the future.
