Ah another osmo product that I have been testing and I am starting to think I may have a slight obsession with this brand. I am not the only one however as the hairdressers in the salon I work in have all used and loved this particular shampoo and even the conditioner from the osmo essence range.
The shampoo is practically identical to the conditioner and comes in a bright yellow very attractive and interesting 280ml bottle. Unfortunately osmo products are not available in places such as boots and super drug and they must be ordered in your hairdressers or online. I would advise to look online as some hairdressers will probably order them in for cheap and add extra to make a profit themselves.
Osmo deep moisturising shampoo is a gentle cleansing shampoo which contains ylang ylang and patchouli to replenish lost moisture from the inside out without being too heavy and weighing the hair down. The shampoo also claims to strengthen and restore hair to vitality.
This shampoo lathers up extremely well so only a small amount of this is needed. I made the mistake of pouring a generous amount and when I begun to lather it took over my head. The shampoo has a delicious fruit smell to it and it really is a pleasure to use. I was happy to see that even before conditioner my hair seemed a lot less tangled than other branded shampoo.
I have been using the shampoo and conditioner for a good few weeks now and I have noticed a big change in the strength of my hair. I am happy to say I will continue to use this in the future as I already have another one on order.
I would definately recommend this shampoo to anyone who suffers from dry/damages hair that is in need of a bit TLC.
Ever since I bought Osmo Deep Repair Conditioner Mask and been impressed by it, I have wanted to try some more products in their range.
I am a believer in taking care of your hair, after all think of the stress your hair is under every single day. You have a shower, there your hair is subjected to hot and cold water, blow drying, heat styling with curling tongs or straightness (both at high temperatures). Our weather, wind, rain, sun, either all together or different times! Then there is winter, frost etc. Brushing your hair all day, which can cause your hair to become weak and break and all different styling products.
Your hair goes through a lot more than you realise.
I know there are shampoos out there for blond, brunette, straight, curly, frizz, some for dandruff, greasy hair, normal hair, and the list is endless, but most of all your hair needs moisture and not all shampoos deliver this simple, yet important ingredient.
That is why I went for Osmo Deep Moisturising Shampoo, this shampoo is designed for dry, damaged and over stresses hair (as I mentioned above). This shampoo contains essential oils including Patchouli and Ylang Ylang (all ready I don't remember seeing theses essential oils in any other shampoo on the market). It is gentle and light on the hair so no weighing it down; it cleanses brilliantly and nourishes the hair all the way from the root to the tip. It replenishes moisture that has been lost, while strengthen and restores health back; your hair is left shiny, silky and nourished.
Osmo range is a salon brand and you won't find this brand on your high street, you can find this range on eBay, local salons who stock Osmo, mobile hairdressers or salon hair websites.
The size I got is 280ml for just over £5; the plastic bottle is bright yellow with purple writing. The packaging definitely stands out at you.
It has a shelf life of 18 months and the bottle can be recycled.
It is hard to describe the smell of this shampoo but you can smell the essential oils, it smells fresh and a little fruity/sweet but I would say it is a unisex product to use.
The texture of this is very light to the touch it is clear, and little frosty liquid.
When you have applied the shampoo on your wet hair straight away you can smell the fragrance, while massaging it through your hair it lathes up very quickly and you only need a small amount as it concentrated so the bottle will go a long way. While massaging it through your hair you can feel your hair getting softer and tangle free. A good tip is to comb your hair first before washing.
It is easy to rinse out and there is no residue left, leaving you with squeaky clean hair. Pat your hair dry with a towel (no rubbing as this can cause breakages) and comb through with a wide tooth comb. Straight away I could see and feel my hair felt softer. When I had finished blow drying my hair again it felt so soft and I could still smell the fragrance, my hair looked shiny and was more manageable. After straightening my hair, which didn't take long, my hair felt soft, silky, manageable, and shiny and I could definitely see moisture back in my hair and ready to take on the stresses of the day, to my hair. I could smell the fragrance all day and my hair didn't look or feel weighed down. It looked full of life with bounce back, looking like I had very healthy hair.
After every wash I have been very impressed with how this shampoo performs and I will be repurchasing again in the future.
