Advantages: eradication of dandruff
Disadvantages: none so far
I have run out of the last shampoo I was using, a very good one albeit, but they do say that changing your shampoo now and again does your hair good. So off I go, money clenched in tight fist. (Pun intended), and end up in Quidsaver. There I am having a mosey around and find on the shelves the little gem I am about to write about. Palmolive Naturals Shampoo line. I have had dandruff off and on for a few years now, I think it is something to do with having used an anti-dandruff shampoo when it was not needed, and hey presto! when I stopped using it....the dreaded flakes appeared. Bummer huh? The hotter the weather gets the itchier my scalp is, and the circle begins; the more you scratch the more flakes you produce, the more flakes there are, the itchier it gets....and we go on.... and on... and on.... So, back to the main theme, I spotted the range; all well visible in bold writing on the bottles. The one I have picked is the Anti-dandruff frequent use. This one is Cedarwood and wild mint. The smell is wicked! Really lovely and fresh and clean smelling. It lasts untill the next wash, and survives nicotine attacks. (important factor for me) And it only cost a POUND! The format is the following: Pale blue, semi-transparent bottle containing 400ml of product, easy to open flip-lid (important with wet slippery hands), clear instuctions of use. Lots of languages on the back for all those different international dandruff sufferers. I quote what they reckon this shampoo does for you: New Palmolive Naturals Antidandruff shampoo is specially formulated to control Dandruff. It is enriched with natural extract of cedarwood, known for its reviving qualities and extract of wild mint, known to be stimulating and purifying. This mild formula is appropiate for everyday use. New palmolive naturals....softness day after day. Bloody hell....having read all t
he ingredients and found them double dutch to me....hopefully they will have made sense to someone out there, if not just skip the whole blimming paragraph, read the end part and go buy the stuff! The ingredients are as follow: Aqua. Sodium C12-13 Pareth Sulfate. Cocamidopropyl Betaine. Sodium Chloride. Climbazole. DMDM Hyantoin. Polyquaternium-7. Tetrasodium EDTA. 2-Bromo-2-Nitropropane-1. 3-Diol. Juniperus Virginiana. Mentha Aquatica. CI 42090. The bottle also kindly includes the Telephone numbers for consumer affairs, ( this mean you get a sly one on the side?) Well, my verdict after having used it several times is that it does eradicate the dandruff, cleans hair really well, and doesn't leave it feeling dry and frizzy like many other antidandruff treatments. In fact, my hair felt silky and soft after using it. In my case conditioner wasn't needed, and that is rare. The itching dissapeared and the smell remains....lurvleeee! It is quite a thick shampoo, so it lasts really well too. I needed only a handfull for my long hair. I have also seen this range in highstreet chemists and they are also being sold there at £1. so I think the value for money is great. Thanks for the read.
