“ Brand: Palmolive / Shampoo - Anti-dandruff / Type: Hair Shampoo / Subcategory: Anti-Dandruff / Helps against: Anti-Dandruff / What it does: Rejuvenates, „
I had bought Palmolive Shampoo in the past but I had never bought the Anti-Dandruff before. I bought this from the local 99p shop as liked the first bottle I had and wanted a replacement. I didn't actually want the anti-dandruff, but it was all they had so I got it anyway.
The bottle itself holds 400ml of shampoo which is less than I thought considering the size of the bottle. It is blue all over, has the Palmolive logo and a small image on the front then all the usual stuff on the rear. It says on the front that it can make your hair "up to 100% flake free". Luckily for me I do not have dandruff problems anyway but I have never noticed anything that may look like dandruff in my hair, so it must eradicate any if it occurs without my knowing. It also states that it is enriched with Wild Mint and Sea Minerals to gently purify the scalp. It does have a slight minty smell to it, but once it has been washed from your hair it is not noticeable.
I have quite short hair so I do not have to use much to generate a lather. I find that with only a small amount, less than I would normally use, it lathers up very well. Once lathered up, it washes off very easily and leaves no greasy residues in your hair. It can be used along with the conditioner as well, but I rarely use this as once your hair has dried it is very manageable and feels very soft and clean.
I use this about 2-3 times a week and this current bottle has lasted for nearly 5 months now. For the price I paid I am very pleased with the results that it produces. I tend to try not to spend more than £1 on shampoo as with short hair the difference between good and average shampoo is not as noticeable. I will definitely be buying another bottle of this when my current one runs out.
Finally, if you need some new shampoo, dandruff sufferer or not, I would highly recommend trying out the Palmolive range of shampoos and conditioners as they are very good for the price you pay.

In 1806 William Colgate Started in America the company Colgate. He started making soap and candles. In 1866 the company came with the first scented soaps and in 1873 launched their first toothpaste. Colgate-Palmolive is today a company with its products sold in over 200 countries. Today it's still one of my favorites to use.
This shampoo is a mild conditioning shampoo designed for hair with dandruff. It has an effective system to combat dandruff and prevent it coming back. It has a unique anti-dandruff extracts of wild mint and sea minerals. In this shampoo they also added a vitamin complex which consists of vitamins E and F. The basis of this shampoo consists of valuable almond oil, keratin, ceramide and shea butter. They provide for the cleaning and foam. According to the manufacturer, this shampoo cleans your hair and scalp gently, so that you get a healthier scalp and gives your hair a radiant shine. This shampoo is suitable for hair with dandruff or an itchy scalp and can be very mild because it is used daily.
The shampoo has an pearlescent white color. Upon opening the bottle has a slight mint scent mixed with something sweet. You can notice the mint while showering but it never becomes overpowering. The shampoo comes in a blue plastic bottle. It has a sticker on the front with a print of a mint leaf. Also found on the front is the brand name and the name of the product and is clearly stated that this is an anti-dandruff shampoo. On the back you also find a sticker and contains the product information, ingredients and tips. The bottle also has a handy blue cap, making it easy to dose and open. The bottle has a capacity of 400ml.
I was first a bit taken back with the idea of using an anti dandruff shampoo because I always thought they where quite aggressive but I learned that not the case. This shampoo gives a lot of foam with it comes in contact with water but you have to wait a bit longer before you rinse your hair then with a normal shampoo. It takes about three to five minutes. The smell was nice and fresh, you could clearly detect the odor of mint but the smell almost completely disappeared after rinsing. The shampoo did give a lot of foam and was easy to rinse. The shampoo made my hair really soft after use. After my hair was dry it looked clean and shiny. But the most important the dandruff was definitely gone after one week of washing daily. No more itching and no longer an red scalp. Definitely a shampoo that works!
I don't have an Asda in the town where I live, but there is a large store about 15 minutes away, where I would sometimes call and pick up any offers. Recently, when in Asda, I saw this 400ml of Palmolive Naturals shampoo for a very reasonably reduced price of 75p.
I was familiar with palmolive as a deodorant and a handwash, but never as a shampoo, so I was happy to give it a try, especially at that price for a large bottle. In Asda at the time, there was a choice of two bottles, however, I opted for the Anti Dandruff shampoo, as I like to mix and match an anti dandruff with normal shampoos so I am flake free. I had just finished my last L'oreal anti dandruff so I thought this would be an ideal replacement.
On the front of the bottle, there is the claim that this shampoo with give you 'up to 100% flake free' hair. It includes wild mint and sea minerals and is for frequent use.
On the reverse of the bottle, it states that this shampoo is an 'effective system to fight dandruff and to prevent rebuild'. It also calims that the wild mint extract and sea minerals 'gently purify the scalp and help relieve it of itchiness and dandruff'.
I have now been using this shampoo for around two weeks, although not every day, as I try to rotate a few shampoos on a daily basis. The shampoo is easy to apply, and lathers up on the hair very well. There is a mild scent to the shampoo but nothing overpowering, and the scent itself is quite sweet. I do not notice any sign of the wild mint extract, but maybe that is not meant to be in the smell.
After washing, I find that I am able to brush through my hair without tangles - usually a good sign for me, and poorer shampoos will usually require me to pull through tangles after washing. My hair is very fine, and although this shampoo does not state anything about providing volume, I do feel that it leaves my hair is excellent condition, as well as being quite volumised and shiny. Which impresses me, since many shampoo's that claim to provide volume, often leave my hair limp.
With my frequent use of this and other anti dandruff shampoos as well as normal shampoos, my hair has remained flake free, so as far as I can tell, it is working on keeping any possible dandruff at bay.
All in all, I will certainly purchase this shampoo again, even if I don't get it at the same reduced price. It is a nice shampoo leaving hair feeling clean, shiny and volumised, as well as keeping it dandruff free!
