A good result considering it was bought in error
Palmolive Naturals Milk & Honey Conditioner

Palmolive Naturals Milk & Honey Conditioner
Advantages: Nourishes hair and adds moisture to dry hair, keeps frizz at bay, lightweight, bargain!
Disadvantages: Packaging is awful, conditioner not very thick
I actually bought this conditioner by mistake, thinking it was shampoo. Ironically, I had decided in a money saving mission, that I would just buy shampoo from now on and use up all the half-used conditioners that are taking over my bathroom. But as it happened, I didn't look at the bottle properly and ended up coming home with yet another conditioner!
I won't lie and say the purchase was based on anything other than price. It cost £1 from Home Bargains which is an excellent price for anything related to hair these days. I have quite dry hair which gets frizzy and also is in desperate need of a trim so is suffering from split ends, so the promise of this being nourishing was all I needed to pop it in my basket.
I didn't use this with the matching shampoo, as I had to get a shampoo from a different shop the following day to replace the phantom shampoo I was supposed to buy in Home Bargains. This doesn't really seem to make much difference, however, and I'm much happier these days mixing and matching shampoo and conditioner brands because as long as they're for dry or frizzy hair they all seem to have a similar effect on my hair.
I have to start by saying I hate the packaging of this conditioner. Aside from the fact the word "Conditioner" is in tiny writing, making it difficult to distinguish what the product is, it also has some issues in terms of functionality. It has a flip top lid which is at the base, and this causes some of the product to escape when you open it, and also seems to leave a mess at the bottom of the shower because the conditioner seems to spill out at the sides in the time it takes me to close the lid. I guess this means I'll be able to get all the product out of the bottle, but that's no use to me if I'm losing about 20% of it down the plughole!
I think the issue with the packaging is made worse by the consistency of this conditioner, with it being much thinner than I would expect. In fact, it was only when I started trying to lather it on my hair that I realised it wasn't shampoo, because the consistency resembles shampoo much more than conditioner. It is white in colour, as you would probably expect from the word "milk" in the product name, and doesn't feel particularly luxurious, although the upside to this is that it doesn't feel heavy on your hair as conditioners can sometimes when you use them every time you wash.
The smell is what I expected from the "milk and honey" description, although I'm pleased to say the honey scent is quite subtle, and doesn't linger on your hair after use. I'm currently using this alongside a shampoo from a different brand which is mango scented, and thankfully once I've dried my hair and applied heat protector spray, none of the smells from either my shampoo or conditioner are evident, otherwise I would be walking round smelling like a strange concoction of various fruit and food items!
Poor packaging aside, I am pleased with the results from this conditioner. My hair isn't looking quite so desperately in need of a trim, and it keeps my frizz at bay. It makes my hair look a bit healthier, and I would agree that it is nourishing because my hair has a bit of shine back, and doesn't look quite so dry. Obviously, I can't delay the inevitable for much longer, and have a haircut planned after payday, but in the meantime I feel this conditioner is doing a good job of putting moisture back into my hair.
Would I buy this again? Yes, I think if I saw it for £1 in Home Bargains again, I probably would. Although the packaging is annoying, the product itself is very good quality, and for the price I'm happy to repurchase in the future.
